Yeah, they should fit... We'll have to see if they fit whatever wheels I wind up with! Hahaha. If I wind up with the Grams though, the blue would probably look cool.

Yeah, it is looking like it should be mid 50s with 30% chance of rain... Oh well, assuming I'm not stuck at a shop or something like that, I'll be coming.

So now that I have had a chance to go over the car closely myself, add my throttle body and DC sports downpipe with zeitronix 02 sensor in it to the list. For some stupid reason they left the rest of the exhaust though, even though it was just hanging from two exhaust hangers... (maybe cuz it was all one piece) though they did dent it up. It's really irritating how they removed stuff too, they cut some wires/hoses and just removed others. Looks like they were starting to take the hood too.

Looking over the car closely was depressing, and now I have to wait for the insurance peeps to come look at it. Ugh.

On the bright side we now have a new policy that when we work late we can pull our cars into the building, and if we go out of town we will have a place in the warehouse to lock them up with a lockbox to keep the keys in in case of emergency.

Thanks for all the support guys, I appreciate it!

Now if ALL your lugs are lockers instead of just one per wheel, that might work a bit better, since it'll take quite a bit of time to get them all off.

Still, it's going to deter them if they are in a hurry or a place where they can't be all that loud. Or if they're not very professional.
I have them for all my lugs

When they first called me after they found it, it was sitting outside on wood blocks. One of the guys I work with is friends with a tow truck driver, so he called him and they used car dollies to move it inside and put it up on jackstands. When they sent me the pics of it up on the wood blocks originally I couldn't believe the thing didn't fall over, it was super sketchy.

I definitely trust the guys that originally found it and moved it inside for me, but we have a lot of temps that come and go to help out on our shop side and I can't help but wonder about some of them, it sucks not knowing. At least from here on out there's no way in hell I'm leaving a car out in that parking lot, it'll be inside if it's there late or for any long period of time.

I have been giving my buddy who went with me out of town a hard time about the whole thing. He had his 93 RX7 parked next to my car, and whoever did it took a few lug nuts off his wheels before either getting spooked and leaving, or just deciding to focus on my car, or whatever happened. I told him if his car didn't look so beat up on the outside (he even has awesome spray-painted 16" stock rims), and didn't sit so low maybe they would have taken all his stuff instead of all mine His engine and engine bay look awesome, but you would never know from looking at the outside.

Am I missing something or does it seem strange that you can tow a car on bricks into the building? Someone please explain how you can do this. I thought maybe a few jacks or creeper-like dolly's under each hub, possibly a forklift???

Not saying its not possible, but I've never heard of a correct method to do this.

I'm keeping my eyes out for ghetto EVO parts sales. This is not kewl ... It reminds me to pay probably a bit extra and have an itemized list of parts for the insurance. Its probably all of the little install knick nacks that take the most fun out of it.
For good measure I think I'm going to take the initiative to setup another community watch. It may seem corny ... but being able to drive into and out of parking lots and observing all of the midnight things that happen, would allow at least a set of eyes on things and let people know there are those of us that are trying to keep an eye on things.
Sometimes midnight jobs are necessary, but not to the point where things go up on funny blocks and looks like a ghetto in the night job.

Its to bad that Evos are easier to get now a days, now all these punk kids that have there mommy and daddys buy them. And then they go and take parts off of others like its a **** Honda. No respect anymore

I still remember when these first came over, I thought for sure there was no way I would get one not being 18 my mommy and daddy did have that kind of money, I was lucky to have them co sign for my 93 Rx7. But nobody even knew what it was let alone had one to upgrade with my parts. And it wasn't 30gs either

Keep us up to date with it all, hopefully your insurance dont try to screw you over. It all depends on what was stock and what was aftermarket. Unless you are one of the lucky ones were your insurance has coverage for aftermarket parts.

That sucks mountainturbo! Hopefully your insurance will pay for it and your Evo will be up and running in no time. I don't understand why people have to be that way and steal stuff off of people cars. There is no respect anymore and people have to ruin other people's stuff because they're jealous or because they're douchebags!

On a good note, I picked up some used aftermarket wheels for my car yesterday for a great deal. They are 18x8" Buddy Club PF Racing II Plus and other than some cosmetic issues they are in pretty good condition. Just need to clean them up a bit. Did a fitment test and they looked great w/o tires. They will look even better on my car with some tires! (Sorry BJ forgot to get a picture . )

BTW, anyone know of any place that sells some good 235/40R18's for a decent price?

Oh yeah, I win!

I find all of the wannabe honda kids do like the Evo ... a lot ... another funny thing is most of the time if they get mommy and daddy to co-sign on one, they usually put between 100 to 200 bucks a month at the beginning to maintain the Evo. If the O-Owner didn't change out the front diff., or the clutch they're into them starting at least at 1000 bucks. If the transmission was thrashed, that's another 1300+ bucks and unless you get Shep or equiv. to do the work, the tranny usually has the same problem it went in with.

If the last owner was ghetto, and played with the electrical stuff, there is a good chance a harness gets hacked and something ends up running wrong.

The last thing is when they let their "friends" drive it the turbo comes on like a ton of bricks, and I've had a handful of stock height Evos snap oversteer under power and get popped into something hard in a parking lot.

Overall they're expensive for all of the teen gang-hoodies to own. However it doesn't end up deterring would be thieves.

I think I'm going to make my carbon wing pin removable and put on a low-profile regular lancer one. I notice a lot less wannabe racing with me when I've had my rear wing off.
