I find all of the wannabe honda kids do like the Evo ... a lot ... another funny thing is most of the time if they get mommy and daddy to co-sign on one, they usually put between 100 to 200 bucks a month at the beginning to maintain the Evo. If the O-Owner didn't change out the front diff., or the clutch they're into them starting at least at 1000 bucks. If the transmission was thrashed, that's another 1300+ bucks and unless you get Shep or equiv. to do the work, the tranny usually has the same problem it went in with.
If the last owner was ghetto, and played with the electrical stuff, there is a good chance a harness gets hacked and something ends up running wrong.
The last thing is when they let their "friends" drive it the turbo comes on like a ton of bricks, and I've had a handful of stock height Evos snap oversteer under power and get popped into something hard in a parking lot.
Overall they're expensive for all of the teen gang-hoodies to own. However it doesn't end up deterring would be thieves.
I think I'm going to make my carbon wing pin removable and put on a low-profile regular lancer one. I notice a lot less wannabe racing with me when I've had my rear wing off.

^^^^^sorry I just read the thread above mine and noticed your suggestion!
Hello, kinda new to the evo world and wanted to say hi. THis is my second evo but my first was stock.
I just bought an 03 with some minor mods and was looking for sugestions on who can tune it.
Curently it is running the Vishnu set up (i know I need to get rid of it!)
Can you guys please tell me exactly what I need to get this thing tuned and who to contact. I do not have a wideband but will be getting one this week.
Thanks

Date/time: May 22nd, Noon to 10pm
Place: River Front Park West, 11050 S. River Front Pkwy (directions link)
Dues once you get there: $5 per person(if you want food and drinks)
Also, I should add, for those of you up early enough, I imagine it will be cars and coffee before.
Unless I get crazy tonight, I'm planning on making both.
Hopefully Wes and Vesko and I can get my wheels sorted out so I'm not driving on grinders (which is officially what I'm calling them now).
Stock Evo offset is +40 right? I wonder if that's the problem. My offset stock is +50 or +55 (I think BBSes are +55 and the others are +50)
