So Next month some time I plan on getting a 1.5 bar ( ~22psi) WGA because my stocker is F'd and fluttering still.

Anywho has anyone used one before? Anyone here that wants to do an Adjustment Tune for some $$$ ?

it still boggles my mind why companies would advertise stuff in barometric atmospheres. 1.5 is about 18 psi. here. so where did they test this 1.5? sea level, 3000 ft, 4000ft, 10000ft?... i dont get it.

I think sea level is the standard right? 18 psi is perfect because I don't want to get a spring too large. 91 octane is the devil. And you can tune me if you really want I guess haha.

you mis understood me in both situations haha. if the spring is rated at 1.5bar at sea level you will boost 22 psi here. because that's the spring rate. and i'm not asking to tune you haha, i'm just saying. i know a guy that does it for some $mula$ haha.

How often is this Mivec map used? Is It common to kange mivec maps From stickys and Sell them along with "your custom tune" to unknowing people?

If this is common practice then cool, but if not WTF!?

I found that purely by accident because I am getting a tactrix cable so I could do some logging. I was searching on how to tune and get started with all that stuff, I opened up the sticky " how to tune your evo" and I noticed that his Mivec map looked really familiar. So I opened up EcuFlash and checked out my Map and sure as **** they are one and the same.

Doesn't 1 bar = 14.5 or 14.7psi? so wouldn't 1.5 bar's = about 22 psi?

That is what google told me. But at different elevations it would be a different psi then sea level.

My gps tells me we are at 12.6 psi , Sea level is 14.7.

sooo If you test the Barometric pressure in utah the 1 bar would = 12.6 , if you were at sea level the same 1 bar would be = 14.7

So 1.5 bars in utah equals ~ 18.9-19 psi at sea level ?

maybe?

ummm... no... i like to custom tune the mivec. but hell. that could just be me i dunno. you do often hear people say, "i put the JDM map on there for you" but that's not really tuning if u ask me. tailored is always best.

i guess what you said is technically true too, but it's a weird way of looking at it. at least for me haha, but you got it.
