Utah Evos
So I know this is a little off topic but thought I'd ask anyway......
The track season is over (for me anyway) so I'll be looking to do a few upgrades this winter. My plans are 272 cams, 1000 cc injectors (to run E-85), brakes, and suspension.
Would you all add anything? 10.5 hotside? LICP?Remember my goals are more road course oriented than drag strip so handling and stopping are as important as power. I also can't spend a ton since I've got a little one on the way in January (it's a boy
). I'm looking for the best bang for my buck. For example, 30ish HP from cams for only $300 (used). Track pads from Jake for way less then rally sport direct. I know 10.5 hotside is an upgrade and LICP helps too but are they worth the money right now if I can't spend a ton? Are there other things that are better HP/$? Thanks. Again, sorry to get off topic.

suspension...I say mono flex or super racings Tein FTW! ! travis's evo runs 270 cams and it sound sooo good, but most ppl this its going to die all the time haha, and its hard to start in the winter sometimes hahaha
here is a thread on cams https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=343818
ps I know raceweapons.com will hook you up big time if your local in utah

I'm going to stick with 272's because the HKS, BC, and GCS cams at that duration don't require to change the whole valve train as long as you're not high revving the engine (which i'm not since the stock turbo won't really flow that high anyway). Some of the really aggressive cams like the Jun's do require the valve train change. I'll just avoid those.

But if you can find a evo ix turbo fairly cheap man swoop that instead of an viii turbo but if you get a viii 10.5 hotside turbo might as well port it before it's put on the car and fairclough can probably hook you up on that. o2 housing + licp = faster spool
You don't even have to go with 10.5 hotside yet if you don't want. For track I'd say 300whp should be plenty for you and that goal isn't that hard to hit. 91oct my old viii turbo and stock injectors I was 362whp**** that he doesn't want 280's haha not for his setup and goals man... 272's or if any combo go with a 264 i , 272 e
or another cam option would be like gsc sc1
Ask anyone about my car they love the sound of my 272's
