Hey gear head, do you happen to have the code to disable lean spool for the 96940011 ecu? I don't just want to set the RPM to the same for enable and disable, I want to actually disable the entire process, but for some reason this computer is going REALLY slow and isn't letting me search any of the ecuflash forums
Change Perephery1 bit 0.......1=enable/0=disable

Ah, dang it I figured it was something like that. I do have ECUFlash 1.41, but i'm using the old 96940011.xml since I had all of my changes to it (jdm map sensor, 2 byte everything, ecu boost control, etc.), so it doesn't pull up all the periphery bits.Originally Posted by gear head

So is there an easy way to use the new .xml file but copy all of the changes I made to the old one? Or do I have to go through everything and try and add it? Cuz that would be a giant pain

Are you installing an ecu from a different year, or did someone sell you one that is fried?
The immobilizer is disabled..I even send him my car to see if car would start. So I'm thinking same thing you are, either bad ecu, wrong year or maybe something with wiring?? I think Dallin said they put that ecu in another 05 and it started? I can't remember if he said that or notOriginally Posted by gear head

Yes, you can add a "mod"xml so the base & ROM files can be left alone... if you want I can give you my Mod file for the tephra nlts ROMOriginally Posted by mountainturbo

Ok, so if I'm understanding you right, I can use my old .xml as a "mod" xml, and still keep all the new features from the new .xml? Do I just rename the old .xml to something else, or do I have to load it in ecuflsh somehow? (Sorry for the n00b questions, haven't played with the new ecuflash much yet). I will probably switch to the other ecu file once I finish fine-tuning my car so all i have to do is copy over the timing/afr tables, but we'll see, I'm being reluctant to change

DELETE existing evo7base_20081101 & 96940011 xml files.
DROP the 3 xml files from the attatchment in the deleted files place
This Mod file has all patch definitions in it already...nothing needs to be added.

I just meant win because it is a blue haired chick with a subaru cloth around her... and... bouncing.
And I'm sure some of you have seen this... but I thought it was funny and just saw it.
