Thanks Jason... It was just a shot in the dark to help a friend her at work with his girlfriend's WRX, but he left awhile ago, no big deal, it started raining so he doesn't want to work on the car much anyway. He ordered the parts he needed from some website.

Some time tomorrow afternoon. Want me to call you when we leave to head up there?
Ah, well then, I'm pretty confident Secret Window is the only one I've seen with him in it that I didn't like, and I've seen A LOT, and even it was pretty good, just a little odd. He's a great actor, he plays his different characters so well, I watched Chocolat again awhile back and totally had forgotten he was the guy in that.

And yeah, shoot me a text or call me when you head up, I should be free in the afternoon.

I've heard great things about the Portercable 7424 and the Flex, someday I'll probably get the Portercable one to start out, and stop simply bucket washing my car and scrubbing my wheels with a bit of wheel cleaner and start actually cleaning my car

I was out of the loop for awhile after I ordered my UDM but I don't think they even make it anymore. When I was researching things, the Flex was the newest one and it came down to either that or the UDM for me. UDM was on sale with a starter kit so I picked that one, obviously lol.

Its been good to me so far, it can correct paint a bit faster and with less effort than the PC 7424. Though I don't know about the new 7424 XL. Right now I think the flex is still best, but the 7424 has more accesories and it takes more elbow grease to do heavy paint correction.

I don't ever want my paint to get bad enough that I need hardcore pain correction. Is it the XL or XP? I can't remember, the one with the faster motor right? Right now it is the same price as the regular one on autogeek... someday soon.... Though with Ficker coming back I may want to save up and do the other few mods I want to the power of the car before he gets here.

To do the hardcore paint correction your talking about I'd have to use so really abrasive compounds which I don't have anyway. Most cars with minor marring and swirling will only need a light/medium cutting polish like kind I'll be using. I don't a paint depth/thickness gauge either so I wouldnt be so comfortable using those more agrressive compounds anyway.

Ya I started with Rotary so that is pretty much all I know and The Makita one is diff the best one I have used and I have used about 7 or 8 different ones from the Cheap harbor freight ones to the Dewalt and Makita ones and I say Mikita is the best for sure man

So your going to jason's shop tomorrow. Ya if you wanted to do that would be sick. I need to put tre's greddy on. Was going to do it when he got home but now its rainin

[QUOTE=UT_Evo;7238784]Yep, and I want pearl black too, so that'll be easy!

It does look good. I'd always go electric rather than mechanical for gauges, if you have the option and can spend the bit extra. Boost is probably the only mechanical I would ever get.

Koo ya Juan wanted it polished to and with that acrylic it makes for a nice finish Thats what I was thinking I know its more money, But should be well worth it.

Anyone that is interested please shoot me a PM. As I'm sure most will agree, pricing is very reasonable and the tunes are solid.

If any of you have Subaru friends I do those too, so let them know. In fact, it seems that's all I do here in Phoenix.

If any of you would like some references, let me know.

Thanks!

That is me foo I had Adam come pick up my car because now I'm so busy with work and the evo is knocking so I don't have the time to try to figure out wtf is wrong with it. I had the boost leak for a few weeks and wasn't beating on the car just driving it to and from work, filled up a tank before work cuz light was on...went to dinner after work, got in car started it and knock knock

Nelson you heard it! It doesn't seem to be as loud but I haven't dared drive the car since that day and so glad it can be gone thru now to see what's wrong if anything..don't think it's bad gas?

not having time & a garage FTL but having a good guy to help me out FTW
