I'm over this discussion ! we all know what works and for the new guys that take up pages for questions, boost leaks etc. When I pm you my phone number and go out of my way to lend a helping hand I'd much rather look at it in person not give text tech support while I'm trying to get laid.

Yeahhh new screen name for me

I am not saying that Ecuflash is not a good way to go.

I AM saying that someone who buys a AP shouldn't be told they are throwing their money away and are stupid. There are reasons for someone to want a AP over Ecuflash and if they want to that is their prerogative. While the reasons may not be important to you they may be very important to the next guy.

For me I have a tractrix cable, I have a laptop I could tune my own car open source. I still choose to have cobb tune my car cause then I know it is done right.

I also own a AP cause my laptop is a pile of crap and the battery dies if unplugged for 5 seconds. I do not want to be out somewhere relying on a crap laptop to switch my maps. I would rather use the AP which has no battery and works very well.

And also I know the guys down there personally and would rather spend my money helping a local utah business then some guy that has a cable made in china.

BUT they do not make it for the EVO 8-9 guys anymore and since 95% of people in this thread are evo 8-9 guys I am really wasting my breathe

The EVO X guys are loving the AP.

I know man we had a wicked game of phone tag going on.

Then I was going to come out saturday and check it but ended up spending time with the female.

She is out of town this weekend so I will have some time to do some car stuff.

Yep, I have to agree here. Using the closed loop settings from the factory will maintain pretty good drivability on the stock ecu as long as ur injectors are dialed in properly, but like Jason said, they go through months if not years of testing and tuning to get the car to drive as it does when it comes from the factory. Sticking with ecuflash is best in my opinion just because it is quite easy to use, and most tuners can tune using it or figure out how to pretty quick. aem and motec are 2 of the best replacement ecus for the evo ecu tho..I love AEM!

Ya I never should have gotten ride of my AEM but I do still want to get it going on Stock ECU tho. There shouldn't be a reason why it shouldn't start tho
