Ty,
We had Al come out in March and tuned a bunch of us in SLC. I believe there were some others trying to get him to come back to SLC, you may want to look for a post in the Dynoflash forum. If I had to do it again I would just ship my ecu to him and have him do a mail in flash. He has tuned enough cars he can get it 90% without even seeing your car and it saves having to deal with him in person.
Nice to see someone else from ID. I am in Twin Falls, do you ever do any autox?

Good advice. Is there anyone you recommend I could have look at my car to make sure the ECu needs to be reflashed? I'm not sure if that is the problem. It's running way too rich right now. Al thinks he already tuned the car with the previous owner and it should adjust just fine to the higher altitude.

Al will probably be the only guy that can tell if it was flashed previously. After my tune my car ran alot leaner then it had been so it is weird yours is running rich. Where did you get your car from? Have you made any changes? The nice thing about a flash is the factory ecu can still do its thing, so changes in altitude, weather, etc are adjusted by the ecu as always. I would find out from previous owner if Al flashed the car.
Looking to send Al my ECU in a couple weeks. I am borrowing a data logger and will be running it on my trip to Pheonix. Looking to mail the data w/ the ecu so I can get a more accurate tune. Mine seems to be running rich compared to everyone elses i've seen around here even with the base flash. Plus i just installed cams!!
Stupid Norton antivirus is blocking me from all secure websites. Here's the link on the car I bought:

It runs terrible and I'm not sure how to fix it here or in Utah. It ran great down in Orange County and now that it is up here it seems to be running way too much fuel!

secong buy a engine management system & have someone tune the car with that.
does it run bad all the time or just under full throttle conditions? if it's just under boost i bet the 22psi 93 octane flash isn't working so good with the 91 octane so you are detonating & pulling timing. if it runs ****ty all the time well there is too many things that could be wrong but if you explain what it's doing i can try to help

It chugs, it detonates sometimes and you can now hear a knocking in the engine when it idles. When I say it chugs, I mean when I hit turbo, you can tell it struggles. It's trying to push out the gas or something. Strange, huh?

Just a guess. I won't know until I have a wideband hooked up, which is to say that I'll probably never know since I don't have a wideband/money.
Edit - oh yeah, and on that original drive we went on way back last year (where we left from Applebee's, I think), I remember Ben's car puffing out big black clouds of smoke every time he got on it.
