Only time i hear anything from them is in reverse while going very slow. But they are a very nice pad they might be overkill for you since they are a track/street pad.

I hear the Hawk HPS are a good cheaper pad might be good for you. I think Rob is running those.

I think both are in stock at RSD if you want to come check them out.

Ben
sweet i will come check them out.. i was getting new rotors & thought why not throw on some pads @ the same time

Note to Zach (and Ben): The Ferodos are LOUDER than the stock ones if they are not greased very well (meaning, if you didn't grease the stock ones and didn't grease the Ferodos the Ferodos would be louder) However, if you do a good job greasing them, the Ferodos are a lot quieter (I realize this isn't a problem, but if you're switching out pads like I do you don't always have grease on hand, if... you know... you forget some... like I do)

Again, yeah, I realize it isn't a problem...

Actually I like to use wheel bearing greese on the friction material of the pad. It makes pad noise a thing of the past.

Any track pad is going to be louder then a stock pad. It is just the way friction materials work. If you want a quiet pad go to autozone. If you want a nice pad get ferodos :P

Sigh, was it really that confusing? You totally misunderstood what I said... And be careful using them as dedicated track and street pads, they can get pretty hot on the track. (trust me, I loved the DS2500s, untill my foot almost hit the floor going into a 100mph sweeper entrance...)

Let me rephrase what I had said before... If you're not greasing your pads, the DS2500s will be louder than the Brembos... If you ARE greasing your pads (which, genereally, everyone is. The only reason I haven't was because I didn't have any on hand after switching the Cobalts out after track racing) then the DS2500s are a good deal quieter than the Brembos. The ONLY drawback to the DS2500s to the stock ones if you grease them is the high amount of brownish pinkish blackish dust.

Yeah, nothing is more fun than realizing your pads are not up to the task at the end of a long straight.

For me it was Buttonwillow. For you ... next time listen to the papa-san ... it was the extended Spring Mountain track. I wonder what the end of the 3500 ft straight at MMP is going to look like!?

No, first for me was the exit of turn 2 braking in to turn 3 at the non-extended SM track, I ignored it... and then second was at the IVR, where I flew clear off track. I never drove the extended SM track without my Cobalts.
