i just finished reading... http://www.evomoto.com/tech_info.php...3_6&tech_id=18

for the cam install. at first before i read it i was scared and that's why i haven't installed them yet but after reading that tech from evomoto.... i'm scared $hitless! there's no way i'm gonna dare tackle that. YIKES!!!

anyone here know someone that's personally installed cams in the evo? i think i'm gonna have to pay someone to do it. and please don't use the M word. there's no way they'll ever touch my car.

I can do it Ray!!!! As a side note after the flash I think I'm gonna aim at some cosmetic upgrades...what do y'all think about a Vortex Generator, some blacked out headlights (instead of the chrome...kinda like the MR) and the Evolution VII badge from Japan but without the VII? Please, mock at will

i installed my cams 272 hks's it's really not bad the only hard part is lining up your timing belt if you have never done it before!! i'm a mechanic so this is something that is not scary. i could help you if you need it, the only thing you need (out of the ordinary) is a torque wrench & i used assy. lube too so the cams stayed lubricated until oil hit them. are you using adj. cam gears also?

no adj. cam gears. i was told by someone very reputable (here of course) that i really don't need them. i was gonna go with hks gears but he talked me out of them.

do you have your own shop? if so how much would you charge to install them?

i'm sure it's not too scary but i just don't wanna f things up.

Yeah, Ray, and speaking of reputable people, I was talking with the Injen guys, and a guy that has a bunch of Injen parts, and they said the cam gears aren't that great either, and that for an often street driven car, the cams arent worth it either, but you already have them...then again, who knows how "reputable" they are
