Utah Evos
We took that E85 powered car out to the track on Wednesday. Not a single clean pass as the clutch let go on the first run. Car did 12.3@117mph with a badly slipping clutch though.
I ended up driving it for a few runs. One run was against a domestic that ran 11.4@125mph. He out launched the hell out of me as I walked it off the line but the clutch held for a bit of second and a bit of third. While it was holding, I was able to close his 3 car lead down to about 1.5 cars, then the clutch let go a little after the 1/8 mile and I 1/4 throttled the car to a 12.8@116mph.
Once the clutch is sorted out, I'm thinking the car is definitely doing 125+mph. Might go over 130mph even. The car was just NASTY when the clutch was holding. On the run against the quick domestic, the car was torque steering all the way through 2nd and all the way through third until the clutch gave up. Almost pulled me across the center line in second.
This is on a stock 2G long block. Just cams and springs for internal work and the stock intake manifold to boot. This E85 is just AWESOME.

What all did you have to do? Big injectors and a tune? What is the equivelent octane rating?
It tunes about the same as 110 octane leaded. It is listed as 105 octane, but it's an oxygenate, that can go a long way towards making power.
All we did was listed in my previous post on it, post #10827.

Maybe because they aren't enough????
P.S. I heard Zach went 11.92 @ 12X on pump gas last night
Does anybody have an EVO IX turbo that I could borrow for a day?
I need to finish a tubular manifold and I want to make sure it clears the larger EVO IX turbo. The manifold is essentially done, but I just need to weld the runners to the flanges and I can still tweak the posistion a little to make sure everything clears.

anyone coming out to the next autocross? it is on memorial day which is next monday and it should be the best event of the year. its at the e center and registration ends at 9 am so if you go and want to race (which you should do it is a blast) then be there at 9 or just send me a pm or something if you want me to help you pre register. the event is $25 if you race but if not at least come check it out!
I might come out just to say "hi" Riley... And no, no clubhouse passes but its okay, we just walked around the whole track during the Le Mans race. Those Audi TDIs are freakin awesome... And Riley, you have a quick PM.
yah you should definately come out to the e center event and see how jdm your wheels are now with their new paint job on them. yah the audi's are sick too bad the penske porsche beat them! btw i was working corner 2 during the morning and working the track is fun you are like 15 ft away from the action
not my style. if i were getting enkei's i would and will get in the future either some rpf1's or some nto3+m's. if you want a good looking wheel for low prices, get a rota, the guy named subydude on here sells them and they are cheap and mostly knockoff's of some ultra expensive volk or something
