I need some help, I am getting very tired of trying to sell my g35 so I am thinking I will just trade it in. Anybody know of any good used evo's at dealerships around here. I have been searching the internet but it seems as if they never update there inventory. Just let me know if you have seen any out there. So I can go get a new toy this weekend!

 

mine was good but they sold it pretty fast. My advice is to just drive along state most dealers park them out front since they're such hot selling cars.

 

Just want to say that you EVO owners suck!!! I'm friggin' jealous. Drove my friends IX today at lunch back to work. I'm amazed at the steering feel. It's so...perfect! The steering wheel fits in my hands like a steering wheel should. The handling was amazing too. It handles so flat, and that's stock. I wish I could own one right now. Just have to wait until I can get 'em with 100k miles and for $10k.
That, or I'll just build my plastic model EVO's. Picked up an EVO 5 Makinnen model 1/24 scale. I'll build it like a street car. I should post up pics of it when I'm done.

i traded it in for my bike i got 16500 for it at tw auto, which i think isnt bad since it had a messed up front and a slipping clutch, and right now im driving a 96 jetta that i picked up for a hundred bucks and getting 40 miles to the gallon

 

you can buy my old car its at tw auto on state and 45s it has gsc 280 cams and dcsports downpipe still on it as well as an aps cold air intake and no matter what they say it needs a new clutch it doesnt slip now but once you put on a boost controller it will oh and it still has the kartboy shifter bushing and base bushings

 

you traded it straight up for a bike? or they just gave you the cash???

Dang I should have bought it and just turned around and sold it for twice of what I got it for. That is the most I have seen one up for that has over 50K on it. they will be lucky to sell it for 20K unless some idiot that hasn't shopped around for one pays what they want.

 

I wish I had a real Tommi Makinen Evo V or VI.

I want to make mine into a Evo V now so I can have the wide body look and fit the wider wheels and tires like everyone else.

 

They sold mine for about 23 as far as I have heard... You'd be surprised what people are willing to pay when they can trade in their old mustang or civic for an Evo and get 100% financing at a good rate instead of having the bank laugh and have to have cash. Its why its so hard to sell them privately, you can't take trade-ins and you certainly can't provide financing, especially not to the teenagers who want the cars.

Remember too that most of the ones around or lower than 20k either have mechanical problems or hidden cosmetic damage. Its the problem that's bringing the value of our cars (well, my ex car) down, people are liars and scam artists, "Oh no, the clutch is great... Oh no, you can't drive it to see.... But my car is only 17k! and has less than 40k miles on it!"

But with 72k miles on it, that is way too high of a price... Especially with clutch problems.

I'm not sure just talking, but I want to repaint it and am thinking might as well just get a V kit and make it the V all around. I already did the brake and wheel upgrades and am going to be doing the suspension and some motor work over the winter. So that is why I want to repaint it and if I am going to repaint the car why not just do the V kit so I can fit bigger wheels and tires? It will make it about 1.5" to 2" wider so I can get some 9" to 9.5" wide wheels. The stock Evo IX wheels I have already rub pretty good and mest up the lips of two of my fenders. So I need to roll all the fenders any how or just go wider and also get the wider wheels that I have been wanting for awhile now. Or I could just sell the car and get a newer Evo that is already wider and newer than mine. I don't know yet. Let me know what you guys think. I have found all the parts for the Factory Evo V kit and some aftermaket ones too that are the same and wider than factory. I have all winter to decide and do it.

 

dude dont go with an V widebody, if you are going widebody do it right! get like a varis widebody or some **** and you will have the most jdm car in the state, oh and run like +0 offset. i have some 17x9.5's nt03+m's with 275 v710's that i am going to sell if you are interested
