p2, and 21 psi :(

when i got my flash i had a blown actuator diaphram...
over the weekend i installed my new forge actuator (went with forge cause its got anuprated diaphragm and is serviceable and guaranteed for life)
so first gear i get 19psi
2nd i get 21
3rd i get 21 (unless i take it to low rpms, let the turbo spool down, and get on it, then i run 24psi)
4th i get 22/23psi
5th i havent looked...

i have hks rs, 3" turbo back and an mr dv.

anyone know why or if i can throw on a mbc to turn it down?

I would just call Works since they did the flash.

okie heres my 2 cents. when you first got your flash, you had a part that wasn't working, so technically speaking if they put in the flash for 19psi and you had a leak, you wouldn't hit 19psi, so they upped it until they saw 19psi. Now that you fixed the leak, the boost is reflecting the true boost the ECU is putting out...

No big deal, all you have to do is have WORKS reflash it.

Hey tokeone,
We'll be at Willow Springs all day tomorrow if you can make it or give us a call.
It's an easy reflash if your boost is that high. Are you reading that with your old Autometer or the Defi?

Just consider yourself lucky; you have a strong car! As long as there's no detonation or knock, you are safe. It's been stated many times that 21psi is safe on the stock engine with pump gas.

Those boost levels are too high for Cali 91 **** water. I'd lay off the throttle until it gets fixed.

yeah I'd lay off the gas, on my old tune from one of the "tooners" my car was hitting 25psi and it was "supposed" to be okie. bah ..... that was all baloney.

with the broken actuator i was running 24psi and rarely pulling timing... never detonated.

for obvious reasons i didnt feel comfortable with it... but it seems "safe" currently.

So you datalogged your car and saw that your ECU wasn't pulling timing while you were running 24 psi on pump gas??

Some times gauges are off by +/- 2psi. My gauges shows 18 psi at wot but going up hill or wot 5th gear on the freeway, it goes up to 21psi. But not sure how accurate my gauge really is.

My car boost pikes at 22 psi all the time. Seems to be fine so far.

Mine spikes around the 21-22 area a lot too, but it seems to be the norm. But like I said, it's just a spike.
