Remove the ECU
I tired searching, but couldn't find any exact information on this. What's the best/easiest way to safely remove the ECU?
After that, what is the proper way to package it up to mail it? Like does it need to be in a anti-static bag, and/or bubble-taped or what?
Thanks.

1. Remove the Glove Box. Open the glove box. Pop out the left stopper pin. Slide the Glove Box left so the right stopper pin clears the lip. Rotate the Glove Box down and remove. The ECU is the box mounted vertically towards the left.
2. Remove the plastic wire cover which sits below all the ECU wires.
3. It is easier to remove the connectors while the ECU is still securely mounted. Push the tab lock on the yellow connector and carefully remove pulling on the connector, NOT the wires. Repeat this for all of the remaining connectors.
4. Identify the three black bolts in an inverted triangular pattern holding the ECU bracket. Use a 10mm tool to dismount the bracket. The ECU will now slide downwards cradled in the bracket.
5. You may send the ECU with or without the bracket to WORKS. Please package carefully and insure it accordingly (recommended $900.00 value).

Sweet, just sent it off to you guys. Included all the information you asked for. I overnighted it, so it should be there @ 10:30am PST tomorrow. Ouch, that was pricey!
I'm thinking to do the 2-day service back to save some $$.

I did note that I had a TBE now though.

Thanks for the tremendously quick turnaround. I just hope that Mitsubishi flash gets rid of the P0300 problem!
