Aperture High Pressure Shaft seals

Hey Guys

Have the high pressure shaft seals always been installed with the Apertures? I think our Aperture has been in service for about four years now so I was just wondering. Its always performed great, never a problem, but I might replace 'em just for GP this winter.

No the Aperture throttle body is older than the Aperture shaft seals, I think we started installing them in the throttle bodies in mid-2007. So it sounds like your throttle body may pre-date this. You can pop them in no problem though.

Im new to this "aperture" term. Is this the brand of the throttle body? I am looking for some stock replacement shaft seals, will these work, or do I need YOUR throttle body for it. Forgive me if I am on the wrong track here.

WORKS aperture is a stock throttle body thats been re-worked, comes in two bore sizes. Everything else on them would be the same, should pop right in!

As RT mentioned we do sell throttle bodies in two different bore sizes. However if you need just a set of our high pressure aperture seals we can do that. The kit is on our website and is a high pressure replacement for the stock seals. I have a good amount in stock so check them out: http://www.worksevo.com/store/produc...roducts_id=415 .

Ok, sounds good, I just wanted to make sure that I didn't have to have "your" throttle body to use these seals. I just want to upgrade my stock ones.

Follow-up, ordered the seal/ gasket kit. The WORKS HP seals also come with the TB gasket included, so no trip to the dealer. We had already checked our existing TB seals and have no leaks so the new ones will become spare parts until they are really needed, just in case.

Long term use of the Aperture, no problems or issues to report, the unit has been bulletproof!

Had old seals replaced w/these today. Back to holding a hair above1.3 bar again. I was getting </=1.25 before the seals.

Had a WTF moment on the 780 - blew the UI hose off driving back. (Glad the clamp was still there) Limped it to Benicia Jiffy Lube and managed to borrow a phillips to get the hose clamp back to tight status.
