Last I checked Vishnu's Stage SubZero………..........$895 and it does not tweak some of things that Works does. Hey you don't have to buy one it its a free country.

Guys, its not the hose thats making the boost changes with P2.... its changes in the ecu programming. The problem is that the stock restrictor limits the ability for the factory boost controller to function optimally once reprogrammed.

This is why Shiv has you remove the restrictor altogether for his boost control XEDE.

Again.....the restrictor does not change boost pressure, but only changes flow control between the compressor vaccum nipple to the" T " that connects to the FBC and the wastegate actuator.
This creates a much harsher hit when the turbo spools-up and you see more boost, but as an initial spike. Once the boost equalizes you are back to the pressure that is specifically held at the level dictated by the ECU/FBC.

If anyone thinks they can control boost by playing around with restrictors alone then buy a precision needle valve and install it in place of the stock restrictor. This will give you infinite adjustability, and will absolutely affect boost response, but will not provide you with boost control in any way shape or form.

Btw ... Not trying to be a jerk...just want people to understand that the way Works is controlling boost is via code changes to ECU mapping during meticulous tuning sessions. Think of the restrictor as a fine tuning last step to provide the correct boost response characteristics.

Hope this info helps!

Works if I am wrong with this feel free to correct me....just don't want people thinking you are going for a $748.50 mark-up

Ok you guys, I gotta tell you I got the P2 yesterday, drove 90 miles today and the thing kicks *** . I have more power all around, but real noticeable in the mid & high range. I was in 5th gear cruising at 80 mph @ 3500 rpm with a negative vacuum stomped on it and my boost shot up to aprox 1.4 bar and the car pulled like mad, it pulled my head back against the headrest till I let off at 120mph. I'll have to time it next time, but it felt < 10 sec to get from 80 to 120. All I know is it pulls much harder then the PI . I'm absolutely satisfied with it. It's almost scary and I don't get scared easily .

I'm going to have to agree with you guys, I've wanted the P2 reflash BAD for weeks now (expecting it to be maybe $550 compared to the P1's $450), but seeing the $300 increase I think Works is going to loose a huge part of the previous market fans (cheap guys like me!) to the cheap S-AFC and MBC mods.

The other guy's stuff are also a TANGIBLE purchase, you can hold them in your hand, you see PHYSICALLY what your money paid for. They are now pricing their static software reflash right up with all the customized hardware that comes with tunable software, and like was already said, the Works product can't be resold later if you upgrade to something else - it goes with the car. At $500 or $550 this thing would sell like crazy to guys like me, at $750 it is WAY too close to the customizable and resellable products. And the current P2 dyno plots don't impress much either when compared to a P1, the P1 improves a stock EVO by 29 horses, the P2 improves by 34 horses a car with stock ECU and existing mods...

I'm dissappointed and kinda depressed about this turn of events

Thats great thank you, also I did some converting and you are running about 20.3 psi which translates to your 1.4bar, does the boost stay up their till redline? I think you are hitting above 19psi because the turboback raises the boost by 1psi, even on my stock boost levels I hit 20psi and settle at 17psi where as before my turboback I would hit 19psi and settle at 16psi.

Thanks again

I have to say I am very dissapointed at the cost increase. I thought the boost option wouldn't be very much more that the p1 flash. Boost should have been part of the thing to begin with.
In fact I was under the impression that it was. I bought the pre-order for $400. WORKS was so secretive that nobody really knew exactly what it did to the boost until later. Oh, well I am happy with the gains I got from a $400 mod. I would not pay $500 for it with no boost or $750 for it with boost control. That is too much money for something that can't be resold. I still may get the boost upgrade later on down the road, but I won't be buying anything else from them. I will end up paying $600 for the flash with boost, plus all the overnight shipping I've had to pay for. (probably $100 total) Not a great price, but not robbery either. I think the early adopters should have had a better discount on the upgrade.

Just wanted to add I think $200 is too much for the previous customers. It should only be in the area of $50 since it doesnt add that much HP compared to the p1

Yes! or make it $750 out the door, then I might considered driving up to NorCal.

Absolutely, in no way, rhyme, or reason would I pay that ridiculous price for a mail order reflash... Not even for 50whp! Further more, it is a slap in the face to current Works reflash customers who have stood by Works... who were sold on an additional flash with their original purchase... and who put their faith in Works when they were told they "would not be disappointed". Well, we are not disappointed... we are offended!

Works, please keep any retort here in this forum for all your customers (if they still are so) to see...

Zeus. Thank you for cleaing that up. I feel the same way you do. They need to drop the price or most if not 98% of their customers will go to UTEC, Xede, or Dynoflash. Works I want your boost reflash, but $200 for the upgrade is simply outraegous and I doubt it if most previous customers will pay this outlandish price. I still thinm your products are awesome though.

Seems options are considering coming to us already... vs. us going to them. I wonder what other parts of the country they might be interested in visiting?

Let's see: p2 reflash($750)+aperture($350)+exhale($300)=$1400
For that you get around 250 whp...
Xede with just a real exhaust(catback) , no TB
is $1350 and you get around 290 whp according to Shiv.
You get something tangible (and resaleable) w/ the Xede and more hp for less $$$.

WORKS GET REAL!!!!

trev0006, that boost stays till you let off the gas, it will go all the way to redline. It's interesting to see that. I found an empty stretch of country road while in 3rd gear at about 2k rpm i'll stomp on it and it seems to instantly spool up to 19psi all the way to red line, 4th comes quickly and it pulls just as hard as 3rd. Having a constant 19-20 psi from apr 4k to redline is awesome. 5th gear roll on is the most noticeable difference for me. Very Impressive!!!!
