Well it never said but I bet you are right. the works was definatelly compensating up top with leaner AFRs But if it stays competative ~450 the p1 will be and still is a great addition to a factory car

I think the point is moot at the current pricing...

Thanks for the help CaymanDiver.

One more thought..
I have the P1 and my tailpipe is black from soot.
That does not seem too lean to me.
I think there is room for more "leanness".

I missed delivery of my P2 ecu yesterday but will be getting it today. I only have a B&B catback installed at this time. No 4WD dyno near me. I'll be installing the 3" DP after putting in the P2 and driving a while. I'll post my impressions in a couple of days.

I can totally see why people are rejecting this P2 price. I have the money so I paid. I already have the P1. I have been very happy with the performance benifits of the P1. I'm sure I will be happy with the P2 also but the price is high. If I figure in the cost to ship my ecu twice overnight Fed Ex I'm over the $750 full price of the P2.

After hearing that dynoflash is offering a $250 flash with boost control and seeing all the people here that were waiting and ready to purchase the P2, I really think WORKS going to lose a lot of business at $750 a pop. Is the P2 that much better than the $250 Dynoflash? I don't see how after seeing the dyno graphs from Dynoflash. From the looks of it people are getting the same hp from Dynoflash for $500 less. How is it that Dynoflash is able to do apparently the same flash for $250? I really don't know how much R&D is involved in getting a safe ecu flash so maybe there are differences, I just don't know.

I would hope that they would offer unlimited reflashes for upgrades for this price since it cost me over $50 each time it's shipped anyway, or if they change the price would offer some consession to there current customers.

Not getting on here and responding isn't helping matters either. I'm sure Dave has a laptop and internet conection wherever he is.

I think WORKS may be shooting themselves in the foot with this price from the way people here are responding. For $500 each they could be doing many more flashes and making more money insteadd of doing damage control imo.

Take care

Uh well this is real general and a subjective subject when dealing with modern Fuel Injected and FI cars- now if you had a carbuerated old mustang then we could put a little more weight to those findings but yes 11.6 is still "rich" in the classic sense

I know "someone" who has the P1 and the rest of the car is stock that is having their car dynoed tonight at Altered Atmosphere. They are doing 2 baseline pulls along with an a/f ratio. I will post their results tonight. Monday they are sending the ECU to WORKS for the P2 and will have the car redynoed at the same place thursday including a/f and I will post that as well.

Now I know I will not be happy with the P2 price and I haven't even installed it yet. I just read the $600 P2 post that new customers will be getting a group buy price of $600.

Why would works not give me more of a discount as an already established customer. When I puchased the P1 I was told that as a P1 customer I would get a significant discount over any new purchaser of the P2. Now I'm not happy this is just WRONG! Do what you said you would do WORKS and give me a discount over the new P2 customers. I have over $750 invested in P1 & P2 with shipping and a new customer can get it for $600 + shipping. That $600 price is $50 less than what I ended up paying for the P2 without including $100 shipping cost. Again this is WRONG and not what I was promised when I purchased the P1 & the P2 the first day it was available.

You have lost me as a future customer unless something is done about this WORKS.

Yes it is right MP5. I paid $450 for P1 + $200 for P2 upgrade=$650+ shipping back and forth twice for P1 & P2 over $100= over $750 invested and a new customer can get the P2 for $600+ shipping. $50 less not even including shipping! It's just WRONG!

So what if you paid $1000 for shipping?
It is irrelevant.
