Turbo kit?
Slt you are right. however, no car tuner will offer that much and if they do it will be amazing since the part you bought the flash has nothing to do with the new turbo kit. for example APR one of the biggest german performnce maker will not even consider giving you a $99 remap like works did. some times the best is expensive and it always shines. what we should be looking for is should we go with ATP and aem ems, or Works?????

Could have gone with a utech & custom tuning for that price.

Since I've gotten my evo I've been a "loyal" Works customer; have been very pleased with their Aperture, P2 flash, DP, IP, AB; despite having to wait for extended times for some of these items when I could have gotten similar products cheaper and in a more timely fashion. Overall, they have high quality parts and great service, especially Tyler.
I've always worked with them with the understanding that being a P2 customer, all future upgrades of the flash would be free, as long as I stuck with their products. This is exactly what I've been told by Works.
I dont mind paying a premium price for a quality product, but I'd be gravely dissapointed to find that their policy has changed with this turbo upgrade kit. They should have the gumption to honor their previously stated prior commitments. To charge me an extra $700-800 for an upgraded P2 flash after paying all the money I paid for the original flash, is unacceptable.
I realize that all of this is speculation, and that the pricing has yet to be set by Works, but this is something that they need to give serious consideration for. As stated previously, I don't mind paying for a premium product, but I have no intention of being gouged in the process.
Although I like the quality of the Works products, I have questions about their business and marketing strategy. I guess I'll have to see what they come up with...

If they quoted you that then you're lucky, because I think you're the only one.
Works does have higher prices, but I trust them. That extra money is worth the piece of mind to me. If I had the money and I had the inclination to install a turbo kit I would not go with anyone else but WORKS. Though I wish I could be out in CA so I could at least drive a car with the kit installed. I'd really like to know what it is like compared to stock. Where boost comes on and all other driveability issues.
So WORKS, any update?

There's nothing special about me so I doubt that I'm the only one!
I've been told that quite clearly by Tyler and Pete, on multiple occasions, especially while waiting for my DP, IP, cams, etc. Also in discussing their WI kit etc.
I was not charged for my reflash when I added their throttle body. I was not charged for my reflash when I added their DP and IP. I doubt that there are any P2 owners out there who were charged for the reflash when they upgraded with Works parts.
As far as the rest of your post goes, I feel the same way about Works. I like the guys that I've talked to over there and like their overall philosophy. I believe they produce a high quality product. I want to stick with one tuner and would like to continue to do business with them. We'll have to see where all of this shakes out.

The extra money is worth the piece of mind as long as that extra money is going towards the parts themselves, not something we P2 owners have already paid for. But as dyuyeno said, this is all speculation.

You have to keep in mind that the software for the P2 and the software for the T1 (Turbo Kit) are completely different.
When you pay for software, you are essentially paying for the R&D. For the P2 flash, that's thousands of hours tuning on the road and on the dyno. The same goes with the software for the T1; we started from scratch with the new, bigger injectors and developed a powerful and safe tune specifically for the bigger Turbos.
Think of it as upgrading your operating system from Windows 98 to Windows XP. What you are paying for is all new software, not a minor tweak in existing code.
I’d like to reiterate that WORKS customers will continue to receive free P2 reconfigurations. This has always been our policy here at WORKS as we continue to strive for unbeatable customer service.

O'well. As far as upgrading windows, its much cheaper to buy the upgrade than it is to buy the full blown OS isn't it?

Hey Tyler - maybe if you went into a little detail about what all was involved in this new "software", it would be more palatable. What was/is involved?

O'well.Whether you buy one WORKS performance part or the entire product line, each and every part is designed to compliment the others.

In addition, boost mapping again is done through the factory ECU and that process had to be started from scratch.
The T1 is a totally new product.

This is a true statement. All WORKS performance parts compliment each other. The P2 software works great for many levels of modification. But as soon as you throw bigger injectors and a bigger turbo into the mix, it's all new software.
I hope this helps everyone understand a little bit more about what's involved.

So what you are saying is that not all Works products compliment each other. My P2 flash will not compliment your turbo kit, will it?
I am glad I quit Works. Good luck loyal Works customers. I am glad I was not so loyal. My car is faster because of it and flexible. I hope this kit gets you guys a low 12 sec car that can hang with the big guns. BTW Has anybody ran the 330 pkg at the track. Probably but too embarrased to post. For what it is worth Works is a good option for Evo enthusiast looking to add a lil safe power to their Evo w/o using race gas to extract maximum power. Decent conservative tunes that do what is advertised. Not a bad thing but I wanted a really fast car that could hang with slightly modded z06s and Vipers. Works cars compete with M3s and Stis which IMO is alright but i just wanted a lil more bang for the buck. I had Works p2 and it was great for the time being. But I didn't want to just hang with stis and M3/5s I wanted to destroy them and for the most part Stage1+ has delivered.
There Turbo kit is made by ATP. I just recieved this kit and it is work of art, look at my other post for pics. I choose to custome tune it my self so I would extract the most amount of power of the turbo kit. I can push up to 450whp with this bolt on kit and that means I will smoke your 911 turbo and viper
