Yes, workz I care about the exchange rates because when I go to windsor I want the most for my exchange rates. Also keep in mind though that shipping to Canada will cost a few more dollars too. I will try to price them like I have already discussed in the post.
Hey joe what happen if u reduce the alternator and a/c pulley's . Are they going to work as normal like they do with the stock crank one? .i'll be interested on the stock size replacement.

UPDATE:
The pulley will be coming off the car Monday 6-20-05. The shop should receive the pulley by 6-23. Then turn around will take as long as July 7th, but hopefully not that long. Then that would mean I would have a prototype to test by 7-12-05. At this point I would give it a week for a Dyno pull and break in testing and upon succession of the power and drivability tests I will put in an order for probably about 30 pullies. This would make a estimated ship date of around 7-25-05 for all paid orders. Once again this is all rough and if the shop I am working with has a quicker turn around then we will all benefit by getting everything quicker.

During this downtime I will test the stock EVO pulley and look at belt combinations to see if it will work in the RA. I will keep everyone posted on this issue.

YOU WANT TO READ THIS:
As far as a steel vs aluminium estimation on weight you can be sure that it will weigh about 2/3 or .667 less than steel. So if the stock RA pulley weighs in around 8lbs then you will get a lightened pulley in stock weight that weighs around 2.5lbs. Based on the every 1LB off the crank you lose equaling 4.5HP that would net you roughly 25hp, which could very well be worth 10whp OR MORE. Once again these are only estimates, but this shows you that there is huge potential here for some gains.

RALLIART2U,
I would say about 90% of the gain will come from the crank pulley. To me it doesn't justify the cost for less than 1whp. Furthermore, it may take special pulley pullers and all that, which may require removing those from the car fir a real PITA to install.

Sobe,
I care about the canadians Eh? I will do my best to keep this part less than 100CDN. It is too early to reduce actual actual pricing until I have at least one pulley made.

sorry I may be getting confused here...please assist me in clearing some post up, so I get the part that Joes_Evo8 is making a lighter pulley, but was confused on the part where the evo pulleys fit our cars and benifit? will the evo pulleys work on the RA's? or are the evo pulleys an alternative to the pulley being made? sorry just re read most of the posts and got a little confused.

We don't know if it'll work or not. Joe's going to test it when he gets a chance and let us know. There's some worry that the Evo pulley might provide too much underdrive, but that's unknown.

how about the underdriven pulley and the SC kit that will be out soon? By underdriving the crank pulley, will the net effect be outweighted by the loss of performance by the supercharger?

So, 1/3 of 4lbs is roughly 1.3 lbs. This means, roughly 5HP will be gained at the crank, which probably means a gain of around 1-2WHP. Doesn't seem that great...

Am I missing something or misinterpreting? Cuz it doesn't really sound as good as it did at the beginning :|

I really don't mind getting a gain of 1-2WHP. I think after adding all these little parts that things really start adding up. Hey what can you expect from a $100 part. If you are really look for some bigger gains get a ECU or turbo. My biggest concern is the issue debated about before, about the wear out of our engines. This part is probably going to throw a warenty and I want to know my engine will last for a little while with it.

Exactly my point... for a couple horses, is it worth that extra hassle? Remains to be seen. I really hope that when Joe starts testing he sees some nice gains, but for now, I remain skeptical that this will give us "at least 5whp" as claimed.
