BLOX Racing Engine Roller Stopper

Didn't see a review for this. I bought a Blox racing roll stopper because my OEM roll stopper was worn. Vendor Thread

The product is a very nicely done piece. Nicely machined and well put together. Fast shipping and excellent communication. No surprises here from Speed Element, very solid organization.

I noticed the stiffness compared to OEM at the moment I started the car. The car actually idled a bit rougher sounding, increased frequency from the engine vibrations. This is, of course expected since this roll stopper is essentially a rigid mount now. I have urethane and steel solid mounts in my VW. We do that to improve shifting and reduce engine movement. Huge advantages in traction.

It does feel a little out of character when you blip the pedal, it's gonna take a little getting used to in this car. Definitely feel less refined, but I'm cool with that, my other car is an air-cooled VW, which is unequivocally unrefined . I don't doubt this will lessen once I get a few miles on the mount. It will soften a bit. Nonetheless, I like.

Shifting is awesome now. Very uneventful in the sense that it is just a crisp, snap of a shift now. Not that it was heinous before, but you can feel a difference in that aspect.

Acceleration feels improved as the RPMs tend to pull up a lot smoother.

I don't beat my ride with useless burnouts, but I did get a solid launch and it was WAY improved as quickness and traction, which is what I was looking for.

All in all, for a price of $79.00USD shipped, excellent quality made product and performance feel\gain that is very noticeable, I give this product 2 x

Love it!

A product like that is a must if you ever need to do any kind of launching. I have AMS' poly insert and it makes a big difference when launching.

RRM's AEM Cold Air Intake

I recently installed RRM's CAI, and I have to say that I am slightly disappointed. I didn't read enough into intakes so I was expecting a more tangible difference in power/torque. After the excitement of a new part went away, I realized that, realistically, the only gain I got from it was the awesome sound at 3500rpm's or above.

expect a less restrictive flow, cooler air thus denser air (this is where these really help) and a potential of a few unnoticeable increments in horse power (in some cases decreases in hp\trq)

you got exactly what it offers and the side benefit is a more aggressive sound as well.

enjoy it

U may lose a little bottom end with a cai, but when mivec hits is when you feel the most gain. Though with a tune from a piggyback/reflash you get your bottom end power back.

RRM's UDP kit

I just finished installing the underdrive pulley on my 06 Ralliart. It took me and a friend about 4 hours to install it because I am an idiot. (before installing, make sure you know what a 1/2" drive is and what the tensioner is). With the right tools and the fact that I know what to do now, I could do it in 30 minutes.
It's much lighter than the stock pulley, and it looks good too. I felt a slight boost in acceleration, and the sound of the engine itself is a little different (in a good way).

just installed my Blox Roll stopper this morning, i totally agree with this review.
the engine sounds different when starting up, but its pretty awesome. the vibrations arnt too bad, but are gone when moving its no longer there. the pull feels alot nicer.

the install was kind of weird, after taking off the cross member, i unbolted the oem mount, and bolted on the Blox mount. then i mounted it up.... the two front bolts lined up ok not perfect, but good enough. then the rear single bolt was the tricky part. i ended up using a jack to push the cross member all the way up flush to where it gets bolted on, then used the pry bar to shift the cross member to line up the hole, then bolted it up.

i got mine from a guy on the forums for a good price, and id recommend it to anyone who dosnt mind the vibrations at idle.

Installed my eclipse gt throttle body last week. Took 15 min to install and reset ecu. Took about 20 min for idle to return to normal. This is one of the best mods i did in my opinion. Over 100 miles and no cel. Power is felt throughout the rpm range and response is much better. I would give this a 10 out of 10.

Thanks man,

But I ended up finding one before, but if I do get one I think I'm going go with the galant one, its a bit smaller than the gt one but bigger than stock, I think? I made a separate thread before about what other RA owners thought about getting either a throttle body or the RRM Timing box? I can't decide.
