Thats what I thought. Probably b/c he's not a vendor.

However, the design looked horrible anyways.

Honestly guys, I looked at that thing the guy was selling and got quite worried. The whoel thing looked verry rigged... I mean, that bracket on the trut tower aloone got me thinking of all sorts of potential disaster. The guy never specified what grade of aluminum he was using... he probably didn't even know himself. Same thing for the bolts, your typical hardware store bolts are not gonna do the job here. Can you amagine what the torque load will be on these?

I'd rather stick with a guy like Robert who knows his stuff. I'm quite sure we'll be quite satisfied with the final product when he show it to us... and he also seem to understand his responsibility in seling a carefully engineered product, not a bunch of hardware store parts thown together.

Juan, I know you like custom made stuff... you know I do too, but this one got my junk alarm sound off.

Let's all be a tiny bit more patient and let's see what kind of product Robert comes up with...

Talking

Oh come on now! Everyone knows it was one of us logging in with a newbie account trying to rush Robert! I did pm the guy though and told him not to be surprised when it got yanked though. If he can't take the time to become a vendor he definately didn't take the time to R & D it either.

My money's still on a jokester though....

Dude, I don't want to sound mean or disrespectful but... Like I said before, if he can't take the time to register as a vendor, how serious can he be about his product? Without any definate way to get in contact with someone providing a product is worse than buying it out of the back of a van! You have no guarantee that you will even get the product or be able to legally demand a refund. How can you know for sure? You can't. That is one of the reasons that evom makes you register if you want to distribute a product. I'm not saying that he's going to run off with everyone's money but you can't rule it out either!

I agree, but you also have to consiedr people that make thing out of their spare time, some dotn have tax Id numbers and other thing to present to a big site lke this, and allfor what, to sell a 75$ engine damper?, if you dont want to buy then thats cool, but they have been long time members of SCLC, and i can vouch for them, and so will half of SCLC. but ill do as i promised and get some pics...

What about where its bolted to the strut bolt eventaly it will wear and start to move right? Or is there a double brace to keep that from happening?

^wear on what? the bolt or the damper?, there shouldnt be any wear, there the only wear i can see would be in the bushings, and that can be replaced pretty easily,
