Lancer Drivetrain Damper

Hi, All,

Thanks for all the positive input. I'm on it. This'll take a while, so give me a month or two. I need a Lancer owner in the Denver, Boulder, Colorado area for measuring.

Next, I'll need some of you guys that have hopped up Lancers, maybe a few "launchers". If you guys can't break it, then I'll offer it for sale. This thread's pretty much done for now.

If you can tell me where to where you need measured, I can measure it for you.

Myszkewicz -

Thanks for the thought - I need someone's Lancer sitting in my garage for measuring and contemplating and cogitating.

Another thing you may want to mention is the installation difficulty. Because actually I would like to know how you would go about installing one

Mivec -

Given that the "other" brands are $199, I can't see charging more that $149 for the whole getup. Let's price them affordably, and move a bunch of them.

BlkRalli - I need to get a close look at a 2.0 and a 2.4 before I can cook up installation instructions.

I can't wait to see the results of this! And I'm okay to be a ginea pig if you're okay with me being at the other end of the continent. I could report on fitment, the second gear issue (I've been getting this when racing peeps) and I could document the install too.

Question

-

BTW Rob, why does it have to be mounted on the side of the engine? Wouldn't that induce a twisting motion to the block? Can't it be attached to the middle of the engine? I can't see where though, but you're the engineering guru.
