When do you expect the turbo to be available for purchase in the U.S.? Also, do you have an approximate price range that we will be looking at for the kit, and will it be a complete intall and drive kit without anything extra needed? Also, will you be making these for the auto RA?

I don't have a price range yet.
Yes the system can be purchased minus the Haltech E8 unit we will price the kit into three sections, hardware kit, intercooler and piping kit, computer kit so that people can pick and choose.
Yes it will be physically a complete install and fit kit, minus the computer for those that don't want that system.

The same system will go across to the auto model yes the only variation may be the main air intake pipe will need ot be remade for more clearance I beleive

So, you don't think there is going to have to be any kind of tuning difference between the auto and 5-speed?

Can I run the turbo without the intercooler and piping kit at a lower psi and be ok? Then if I decide to get the intercooler later would I have to retune the computer. I'm just trying to see what the options are here.

Do you have an estimated completion date?

Yes you could run a low 5 psi system without an intercooler if you wanted to and add it later.

The computer system we supply with a pretune will not be a 100% tune. You will have to go to a dyno and get it all checked out properly and for an auto, tuned more appropiatly. In all honesty autos are so rare to find in the lancer range, I doubt we will be doing any 100% pre tunes for them at all ourselves.

Estimation completion date will be middle to end of June

Ok, here's another completely noob question. If I understand things correctly, I could purchase the turbo charger and manifold and plumbing from you, WITHOUT initially buying the haltech unit, or the intercooler and just run a low boost setup (4-5 lbs)? Just send more juice to the MAF? Is that all correct? I'm sorry if this question is completely stupid, I just want to make sure I understand things correctly.

I think you would need some sort of piggyback or computer unit if you want to run any boost at all.

This is what I thought at first also, but I've got a friend with running with a boosted maxima with no computer management at all, just bigger injectors and sending 5~ volts to his MAF from a 350Z. Again, I am pretty clueless with this stuff, but I'm under the impression that it can be done.

Sounds good. Thanks for answering all of my questions.

Now, how's that header fitment going on the U.S. spec Lancer?

No vehicle should have a tubrocharger system fitted without some form of computer intervention. Just feeding larger amounts of fuel is very wrong, but its is mostly the ignition timing htat does most of the damage which people tend to forget about. On any turbo car, you usually need to pull between 5 - 10 degrees timing out at aroud 7 - 10 psi boost min.

Nobody is going to be disappointed with RPW's superior approach to design and engineering performance parts..

I took this shot today of their system for the 4G94... everyone who comes in to check it out wants one now..

I stress again that this is not the Ralliart header system but the base lancer 4g94.

Rather than getting any more PM's on this - to answer everyone, yes these systems are now available for sale for the ralliart models.

You can order them in the following options

RPW 4-1 race design 41mm or 44mm header pipe we recomend the auto models use the 41mm, manuels can use either option.
With or without cat converter
With or without ceramic coating (For those who want to save some money)

I am organising the shipment right now with Accolodae for approx 10 sets of RA headers (5 of each design) and some normal lancer headers as well.

They are coming across sea freight which will take approx 30 days but for those who don't want to wait, we can do our normal drop ship methods as well.

If anyone wants any other RPW products, nows the time to place the order as the freight charges are a fixed price regardless of how much we put on the pallet, and the mroe we load it up, the cheaper it gets per unit on freight.

Ok, so since these are for sale now, how much $ will a ceramic coated set with a cat be? Also, when is the group buy from Accolade going to start for these?

Another question I had on these is if the cat is going to be flanged on each side like the picture above? If it is, is there any way that we can order a cat and a test pipe so that we can eliminate the cat for track days? That would be a nice option to have.

Pricing Accolade will need to finalise once they work out the freigh charge component.
Yes the cats are always flanged
Yes you could also purchse seperately a race pipe to replace the cat converter if you want (Needs to be ordered seperatly)
I do beleive that Accolade will do a group buy on these
