Excellent glad to hear.

now for the results looking most forward to it.
Warning fitting the extractors, on our cars here we had to remove the radiator to fit them up , or the thermo fans. Let me know how you went with it.

I just got home from the Dyno (just 8 minutes from my house)....I will let PR_Mivec tell you the results...but the day/night today down here was hot as hell: It was around 90F...at night...at the Turabo DynoJet. The header looks good!

Just for kicks I dyno my Sportback (Pulley, K&N filter, Hyperground cables, Syn oil):
136.5HP@5,810rpm / 134.7TRQ@4150rpm 3rd gear pull. I think the weather wasn't the best today for a dyno...but I am happy!

sorry for my delay...

i must say im disapointed by the preliminary overall performance of the header...

it lost at low and mid, about -7hp and gained little at high +/-5 hp and lost a lot of torque, 15lbs/ft tq in all of the powerband...
so my personal rate this 6/10 for great looks, little gain
that is all i wont comment anymore on this at this time, lets see were i get at in the next few days or so

THe results are pretty much inline with what we have found on our own testing. The returnless fuel system, no tuning ability with a good flowing exhaust all indicates that these vehicles with the stock injection system do not make massive gains. They require tuning of the ECU in order to maximise the air flow gains. Would be very interesting to see your air/fuel ratio becuase we found on the vehicle we tested on, they ran very very rich on the top end and lean at the low end.

On our own testing, we found with stock intake and only exhaust and headers we picked up a 10% gain across the board, but with some more intake mods, picked up more top end but lost some bottem end.

Would also be intereting to compare your dyno printout with our own test car - to compare the power curves. Was your vehicle running a cat converter with this testing on the dyno? What size was the exhaust - cause no cat and large exhaust with very little back pressure woudl certainly amplify the result. Again with tuning I beleive you woudl see all that low rpm torque and hp back again with a subsequent very large hp gain at the top end.

BUt my motto stands, for the majority of RA owners, unless you are going to be doing any ECU tweaking, large mods on this engine is not in your best interest. But time and experience will prove this point correct.

a header is not a large mod.

It is not a large mod specifically by itself, but its effect on the breathing of the engine is an extremely large mod due to the large improvement in the scavenging effect it has on the engine. The better it scavenges, the more air it pulls from the engine. The more air it pulls, the more fuel you need to add in order to maintain an appropiate air/fuel ratio. Where you have a computer system that is not able to maintain that correct air/fuel ratio, you lose power. Doesn't get any simpler than that.

david my intention was not bash the product, just to give my review.. it is a great one indeed
MY mistake was elemental i forgot to change some values on the modded ecu, i do have the commodity to change the ecu, wich is the life of my car and on 'stock' program i did as good as on your test on 'stock' it did 164/159 tq more or less what we were expecting now my disapointment was when i had in the other ecu...
now during the week ill correct my mistake and re-do the test again...

so, dont feel like im bashing just doing a review...
