boring out the 4G69 motor

would it be alright to drive my ralliart with the stock cams with the RRM pistons and having the motor bored 20 over? I dont have enough money to get the cams and cam gears as of right now.

You don't have money for cams yet you can afford to have your block bored? That makes absolutely no sense. Anyways, there really isn't much room to bore our block. Some searching can bring up past discussions on that.

I think I read that there's only 6mm of material separating the cylinder bores in the block at their closest point. That's about 1/4 inch.

Personally, I wouldn't bore out my block unless the bores were worn so far out-of-round that the piston rings wouldn't seal. There are better ways to make the little bit of power that the extra 2cc of displacement would give you.

i think i remember a guy that had a 2.7L bored from the ralliart 2.4...
