unsure if they even care about easter, I think it was conjecture. i know the company I work for, at least my branch, doesn't give two hoots about easter.

This cam is great! had a chance to drive it today for a few hours and i'm loving it.
After driving it alot it seems like very little was changed low end. almost as soon as mivec kicks in you can tell the cam is their. there;s alot more TQ and def. more hp too.the car feels like its going to take off! without a proper tune and a dyno yet i can still say this has been the single most effective mod ive ever done and if you have alot of supporting mods (I/H/E piggy) its a must have!

I think that I need to retune bad though. I know the piggy only takes over in WOT and it seems if i hold back a little i get more TQ then when i go all out.The car still pulls faster at WOT then it used too but i dont think its close to its potential Until i can get to a dyno and get some AFR readings would it be better to load in a stock map (all 10s) or just disconnect it for the time being? And now i guess once i do the dyno and get some info i should start messing with that adjustable cam gear, suggestions?

So you're saying that going all out on the pedal, the car seems to in a way 'lag' a bit then it pours out the power. Whereas, if you hold back a little, let it idle at about 2500-3000rpm for a while then step on the gas it goes all out?

 

not really, its that from a stop if i put the pedal down most of the way its pretty much same as before until 3500 then it goes all out. if i go WOT from a stop when it hits 3500 it seems to be holding back some, which is due to the piggy not being tuned properly for this. The piggy takes over only under WOT so i;m thinking of disconnected until i can get to a dyno to get a fuel map.

To sum it up its awesome now, after its tuned better it'll be FRIGGEN AWESOME!!

 

add some fuel, if they increased the lift they added lots more air. Everything anyone has said about this engine points to more air. I can't count how many times I have heard that. The stock tune is very rich up top, I would say go to tens, especially on the top end until you get a wideband.

 

no matter what you dont have to disconnect it, just go to all 10's

 

How much is tuning in the states roughly?

 

the place I went to was 150/hr for as many runs as was needed. Worthless due to unknown circumstances, but I got a good baseline to start with. Now when I go I will see the difference between the two graphs. Tune it yourself is cheaper, it was 125/hr but I had no clue what I was doing at that point.

 

okay so increase the numbers a little in the top end maxing at 10? i know you have to make them kind of smoothed out where they increase over the range so ill add a little on the high end to the map you gave me. thanks

 

the colored cells are the cells you will definitely be in during a WOT pull, you will probably hit surrounding cells as well. On your map, especiallly with what you are describing, I would go up in all the cells after mivec. I wouldn't push too hard until you get to check your AFR's. better to be safe than sorry.

^^i'm starting to get the basics. its actually alot easier then it looks. i opened the software the first time and curled up into a ball, but once you play for a while you get it. i just now need a wideband so i can tune without dan's help. Dan i need you again though please read the thread i just started.
