Yeah that sounds exactly right. No need to go any bigger than 2, 1 is even good I guess simply because sif you're going to be using the full potential of a Stage 3 Camshaft lol.

If your man says so with that much experience, then thats gotta be right!

ROCK had told me i was getting a stage 2, now they dont make a stage 2, i now apparently own a stage 1.....right.

as for gains i picked up at least 10whp id guess with my bad tune and some badass TQ. exact numbers are pending since i havent made my way to the dyno yet. but once i do i'll post it for everyone.

Stage one, stage 2... who cares... it all sounds like stuff from gran turismo or need for speed underground. The only numbers you should be worrried about are the dyno numbers.... you were happy with the cam when it was called stage 2... now that they changed the name you dont like it anymore??? should still perform the same no matter what its called.

I agree, stages are misleading. It's better to have a description of what has changed, such as mid and high end cams adjusted for longer valve duration and more valve lift.

I was reading in a book on aftermarket turbo setups that sometimes it's better to keep stock cams because trubos don't like big overlap and longer durrations which is the normal setup on on NA.

Not sure of the specs on these cams, but for sure I'm going to get the head installed... I'll give you a call ROCK!!!

RA on LSD. not saying i care at all or i dont like it anymore, just saying that they had told me their were mutliple stages and i guess when the final product came out they went with one stage. its not like i found this out and now my car magically lost 10hp or anything...or did it?

and retro, id talk to Rob b/c i know when i was talking to him and they were working on a cam the had 2 goals, 1 was to get the most of a cam without losing drivability, and the other was make it work for both n/a and turbo.

Yep, from what I understand, Stage 1 is probably the best to go with for a street car anyway. You probably don't want to be sitting in traffic with a rough idle and driving for a good few hundred miles to see your fuel gauge drop!

So, S1 ftw. Yes it's misleading but ROL is right, look at the numbers and be happy.

I know I was confused when I saw all these Stages. Too bad only R329 is the only RA to have this, we need more reviews and comparisons with manual as well

R329, perhaps a vid on the rpm gauge rocketing past redline? You know you wanna...

I reckon S2 & 3 should be used for track purposes, unless of course you don't care about the above mentioned

IT is the same cam we discussed. I get my stages confused but the point is, it will be the only cam we do so it could be stage 11 cam but stage 1 (as a name) is fine.
