The bit I would consider hard, is finding someone to make me the exhaust pipe I need! Stuff can be mounted, even if its not meant to be mounted. Just as long as I get proper brackets made and use bushings itll be fine. I found an image on google of the outlander AWD drivetrain with no body on top - that was useful and clearly shows the Rear Diff between the fuel tank and crossmember, rather than going under the cross member as with the evo.

I'm convinced enough to spend my money! If I run into problems - I'll sort them at the time - nothing is impossible, just expensive!

I really don't see the problem with the exhaust pipe. You could probably use the evo's exhaust if you wanted, because its run under the crossmember. that would be the least of my worries. Besides, who needs an exhaust anyway. LOL. Diavlo, post that image of the outlander if you would please, I got something I"m going to post that might help you out also.

Thanks! What I'd really like to find is photos of under an AWD outlander. If anyone knows where any of them are, show me please!

The evo's is good to get the general jist of how its set up, but it uses different rear suspension so I cant actually use them as reference.

That is true, the only way you can use the evo rear setup is if you do one of two things. Either alter the struts be short ralliart type with the bottom changed to evo type, not sure how safe that would be or even if it can be done. There might be some struts out there from other model mitsubishi's that are short like the es/ls/oz and ralliart that bolt the same as the evo. Or you can take the harder route and use evo struts and completely cut out the strut mounts and weld in the evo ones. Way to hard. The third option is to just go with the outlander setup which you should be able to use stock struts and springs, the outlanders seems alittle tall, but mounts the same as yours does.

BTW, the 2007 outlander will not do any help. its a all new different components and it will be similiar bodyframes for the evo x and lancer 08 base model.

Here is a blueprint of the Mitsubishi Outlander 06.

Not sure if that would help either sometime later?

http://www.carpages.co.uk/mitsubishi...2_28_05_04.asp here is an article talking about the front and rear setup. From what i have read, it states that the only used the front chassis setup for the outlander, doens't mention anything about the rear.

That is true, the 07's won't work, I guess the ones that will are 03 to what, 06? I found a pic of the 07 rear set up, it doesn't look near the same, although it is lighter by 3 pounds, the setup is quite different. Its more curved.
