here's an idea:
record a video of the installation during the actual parts bolt on process (exclude recording the measuring and trimming) and then play it in FFwd Benny Hill style

I wasnt planning on installing LSD. AWD can do much of the work that an LSD in a FWD car can do, and in an AWD car LSD is really for racing and really hard driving, as for most daily activities I believe AWD can handle traction.
I dont mind getting my hands dirty and all, but I dont like opening up factory sealed transaxles!

You are STILL a madman regardless!
I have a few Q's
1. What is the fuel capacity of the AWD gas tank?
2. Will the RRM clutch and flywheel work with the Outlander tranny?
3. What will cost you more; the motor swap or the AWD conversion?

What is the gear ratio like on the outlander compared to our gears??? Have you looked at that to see if they are close or the same?? Was just wondering being its considered a SUV and is bigger and weighs more ect. Nice job on the research and I WILL be keeping tabs on this man, Your definatly the man on this forum.
This may be a little
but is for all those that have coments like "GO BUY AN EVO" ect. Think about this since our engine is bigger lol, once a RA is turboed, engine built, and AWD installed WHO IS THE BABY !!!!!!!! Not us soooo I would have to say that little sister grew up to kick big brothers A$$ lol.

Gear ratios are the same except 5th and final which are a tad lower. I';ve always believed if you wanted to you could build a proper evo out of a lancer... but im not out to be better than an Evo - just be the ultimate lancer.
^^^^ I know but I had to throw that in there for all those that just say go buy an evo that own one
, anyways back on track here. I do believe that a lower gear for us would help in gas milage some what since the 5th gear is a bit different then ours. I would also imagine that our cars are a lot lighter then the outlander soooo we should get a little better gas milage. I could be wrong with this thought but just wondering as I am keeping a CLOSE eye on this thread and very interested in this.

Good news! I've found the Fuel Tank, Rear Differential Assembly, Transfer Assembly and Propeller Shaft all USED in my own country for really cheap prices!
The latter 3 were £1000 ($2000) each brand new, but I got all three for £500 and the fuel tank for £100.
That means I've saved over £3000 ($6000)
The project is now scheduled to start work in July.
