You can remove the rubber or leave it in, I have done it both ways, the results feel the same

if you got a place that can do it for a couple bucks, then sure, if it's cheaper than ordering from acklands grainger, i don't think they stock it, but you can go into your local store and order it in, usually takes a day or 2...look into it, Devcon flexane is pretty pricey up here in Canada. if somebody could do it for less than the DIY method, be it a liquid fill, or a machined bushing, then go for it.

When I blew my engine and had the mounts out, I filled both with silicone. It will take a while to cure but so far so good. Definitely not stiff like urethane, but I don't want the vibrations in my cabin. Just another option for fixing a cracked rubber mount for $5. I didn't remove the rubber when I did mine.

my friends, dads, shop makes all sorts of urethane products so they have all grades available from super soft to machinable hard, so ill ask him only problem i dont really want t remove the rear one cause its so hard to do i think. Also if i go to acklands graniger, what grade would i want or do they only stock one kind?

$5 < $100 :P and don't you need to have a business to buy products from Acklands Graniger? I remember I was going to get something from there but then saw that they don't sell to the public, only registered businesses..

As for urethanes, I believe you would be looking for "castable urethanes". Devcon makes 2 kinds, 80, and 94. I'm not sure what grade the 80 is, but the 94 is a Shore A 97 hardness.

flexane 80 would be ideal, i used 3M window weld the first time, left the rubber in, it failed recently, so it lasted roughly a year and a half...though i push the car pretty hard. And i just walk into acklands grainger and buy stuff all the time...
