the radiator fan stays on all the time even for a little when i turn the car off . the gauge shows me running close to hot but i have plenty of coolent and no linking i can see.

also the headlights slightly flicker time to time .

the only thing i've had done i that time is a new amp and nav headunit .

Have your cooling system checked out. Something's not right, but we don't have enough info to make a diagnosis. I'd start with checking to see if your thermostat is working properly or not, then go from there.

search and you'll find part no. for the fan controller if you're no longer under warranty...

Mine started doing it a few weeks ago too... never runs while car is off, but turns on much more often, especially while idling.

I guess it's not a bad thing since the engine will be cooler, but it's kinda annoying when you can hear the fan over the ruble of my exhaust.

It's a bad thing, it means the relay module isn't working properly. This could possibly be disastrous if it didn't work when it should. And considering your in such a hot climate I would definately get it fixed, especially when it's cheap to do so!

bump on the 'free replacement of fan control module' - happened to me and many here. Immediately solved the problem almost 2 years ago and no probs since.

There is the P/N. You're welcome.
It's a 5 minute install if you just buy the part and do it yourself (that is if you are beyond your 3/36 warranty).

I have to replace the fan control module with my evo 9. Is this part number compatible with my car?
