recaro seats are an option...and let's just hope that the x suspension components are interchangable with the RA so then X owners can just sell their parts to RA owners

I dont see that being an option because of the evo's wider stance.

Just a little bit more to add for those confused about the trans. It is not just the strength of the SST, but also the ability to tune the motor. The engine ecu and the trans ecu need to communicate. It is an automatic trans at heart and will upshift/downshift given certain rpm, throttle position, and load conditions. Probably even more. Just a simple thing as a MBC will change the load points that the car will see. Will this screw with the trans???? Maybe. Who knows. I believe that audi's and vw's have or had some issues with tuning due to the trans. (vw's DSG inparticular)

I was just at the auto this past Friday and saw this car in person. It was pretty cool, the good news is that the car will cost ONLY 25K with everything. This is what i was told by the representative there. he said it comes with all the options, the evo x seats, keyless system, upgraded sound system and all.... He said that there will only be one available trim.

so 25k for the sst with every option available. he also said if they come out with the manual it will drop about 1500$ so that $23,500 fro the manual.

If what the guy told me is true, this is going to be a pretty sweet ride for the money!

The people standing there at the show are usually just hired for that show and are not affiliated with the Mitsu corp. Guy probably doesn't know what he's talking about, though I wished it were true! =)

He seemed fairly knowledgeable about what he was selling, he knew all about the differences between the rs and evo X like the smaller intercooler, less aggressive cams, single scroll turbo, and different factory tune, he also knew all about the new eclipse concept RA and knew allot about previous engines, (4g63) I am thinking it might be true. That was my interpretation and i know that usually the people there are completely clueless but this person "seemed" to know what he was talking about.

Also they were giving 500$ off the new RA if you signed up to buy one today. Only available at the auto show i believe.

if i was taking 4 passengers then yeah a rack would be better, but im talkin about times when its just me and my gf and putting the board inside will do...

and i have used a roof rack on my cousins mdx and frontier truck, and the MPG drop due to the aerodynamics of the boards on the roof

I highly doubt the RA will be $25k with all the options including the RECAROS, HID, Stereo, Navi, etc. That's just a pipe dream. I'm pretty sure it will start near $25k base and have the appropriate packages available like the X GSR. With all the options it'll probably run close to $30k.

the way the 'at a glance' article is worded is consistent with the way all the other model's that have had prices published in that all that crap WILL be additional. My bet is that the dude at the show gets a commission for everyone he signs up to buy the car for $500 off. Mitsu stealership strikes again
