To the X, it wont compare. the new RA will have an ACD, but most likely wont have AYC or SABS (I say most likey because we simply don't know yet... but its a pretty big feature to forget to mention). I think the VIII and IX had ACD and AYC, but the VII and previous models only had the ACD (like the RA). I'm just going off memory, so you might want to double check that.
Also the rest of the suspension, breaks, and chassis rigidity also contribute to handling. We don't have solid info to say either way regarding what the new RA will come equipped with, but my gut feeling is it wont be as good as other recent evo models. That said, whoever you heard say that was most likely talking out of the ***

Again. It's not an EVO and it doesn't even try to be. It is a standart Lancer with 4wd and pretty powerful engine. That's it. There are bits and pieces from older EVOs and something similar with new.
If you want a racer, take EVO. If a fast and fun daily driver, pick RA.

Even the VIII's didn't have ACD until the 2005. AYC was only in the Euro and JDM models until the X.
If this thing comes in a 5-speed, with the EVO VIII / IX drivetrain... AND has decent suspension... this could be a really nice car. It would almost be like a 2005 EVO VIII in a new Lancer skin.... I'm almost tempted...

now im new to the whole evo scene so im not going to try to look smart. This question might be stupid but i dont know. By reading alot of posts there seems to be some uncertainty that the SST transmission on the ralliart might not be able to take more power then from stock. But correct me if im wrong the Evo MR will have the same transmission and will be producing more hp. So why would tunning the RA be dangerous for the transmission.

if u want an EVO buy an evo if u cant offord it look at the RA or u want a car u can drive in heavy traffic all the time the RA seems to be the better choice.. Why buy the RA and mod it to an evo? Only reason i can think of would be u cant drive stick or u dont want2?
