As a fellow geek, it would be far cooler with a button than a stupid knob you have to reach around the steering wheel to get at like a ignition lock. It's not like there isn't room on the effing dash board.......

Sounds very much like the system the '08 CTS has. I work at a Cadillac/Chevrolet dealership, and I have to say, the CTS keyless package is cool. (The XLR/STS system with the pushbutton IS cooler though.)

sorry if this have already been answered or said before but since the RA is running on 4b11 and the evo x is also running on 4b11, wouldnt it be very possible to use evo x parts on the RA to gain more hp?

A reflash and mbc should really open up this beast, even throw in a TBE for good measure,
within 3K of the GSR, its 33K list
I think the estimates of $25k are pretty reasonable. A lancer GTS (currently the highest priced lancer model) is about $18,500 without transport cost. This leave Mitsubishi $6,500 to pay for:
-A different body kit
-AWD (with 3 diffs)
-Turbocharged motor
-An Evo X steering wheel
-SST Transmission
This seems pretty reasonable to me.
Then, you drop in the following packages: (prices taken from GTS options list)
-Sun and Sound (sunroof and Rockford Fosgate stereo system) - $1,500
-Navigation/Tech (FAST key, Navi, Mp3 hard drive) - $2,000
That brings you to $28,500 which leaves $1,500 for the remaining two options (Recaros and HIDs) before you break the $30k physiological barrier and get within $2k of an Evo GSR.
