i'm not argueing , i'm just telling you it is a big different. From personal experience.
When the throttle got disconnected the car is slows down in a calm way so basically you dont get a scare factor + you still got all the power steering, breaking etc stuff. The car goes to idle. No problemo.
The blow engine will stop working. Can cause wheel stops, drive train damage, loss power steering , breaking problems , and you got the scare factor for sure . Which can lead confusion and so on.
I got a engine blow situation in the winter and that was really scary .. In the turn aroun 60 mph.
Also at my old Lancia i got the trhottle linkage broke, was no problem to control a car and take it to stop.
When actually happens both with you you will understand the difference, even if its "sounds similar problem"
