Car and Driver Comparo is out
I would have to imagine that subaru knows what the problem is, though I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't want to make it public, but will change motors until the affected cars have been filtered out.
Amby, i almost got the 08 STI. I got offer for a VERY good deal. By my friend Weasel 555. / Andy/ You might know him.
But so much problem with them , actually i got scared even the thought i almost got one of them.
I dont know whats going on in the Subi side , but is pretty bad.
I have to say untill 08 i do love the STI and i always thought the Evo and the STI is kind a equal. Fact i love the hach design a lot. Honestly not anymore.
Looks to me the 09 is not better either.
So they need to do heck of a job to gain they position back. And one year will not do it. Even if they come back this decade best car.
So untill 2011 i'm defenietly not intersted about the subi anymore.
so many others.

I know this is off topic but there was some debate on how the Mazdaspeed 3 would look. here it is.....

I agree. I feel it doesn't make a statement like the current gen does. Jus like the new SRT-4. The Neon version (hate it or love it) made an impact whereas the Caliber SRT-4 didn't, even though it has more power. This new speed3 doesn't have anything special. But the interior is nice, always has been.

I hate 5 cylinder motors, but they are supposedly using a new front suspension that eliminates torque steer without limiting torque (like the mazdaspeed3) so it may be fun. Doubt it is coming here though. And it needs RWD
I would consider a sportback for DD if I did not need a truck. My Evo has been the most reliable car I or any of my family/friends has ever had, even with several track days. The trunk in the sedan is too small though, and personally the looks have still not grown on me

I liked the looks of the srt4 neon, and I like the look of the srt4 caliber. The reason the caliber didn't catch on is because it leaves a LOT to be desired in performance. It's too tall, and top heavy. I'm really shocked (wait, no I'm not) that chrysler only offers a questionably styled hatchback as their neon replacement. It's almost like they had no desire of expanding any kind of market share just because they didn't bother offering an alternate model. They sold so many neons, so why would they continue a good thing? The only thing chrysler seems to be good at is bad business.
Oh, and I don't mind that MS3 so much. I like the hood scoop, and the grille design is unique. Yes, it does look a bit happy, but it's not as bad as what they did to the RX-8. Not only did they make it happy, but they make the top look like black gums with no teeth. They should have taken some styling cues from bmw, and used the K-9 teeth lookin underbite on some of the 3 series.

Hemi's became more profitable as did the cars and trucks they put them in. The Charger and 300 had all the buzz. The Neon was the little laughable econo box that said "HI"! Car companies make cars that make the most profit. That is why the Big 3 are in so much trouble. They made money on trucks and SUV's and got away from the less profitable small economy cars. They left that market to Honda, Toyota and Hyundai and Kia. The BIG 3 had inferior products to at least Honda and Toyota and arguably Hyundai due to the better warranty.

The new MS3 is not as ugly as i thought it would been and im sure it will look really nice in person but it doesnt offer anything special IMO. Maybe if they offer AWD and more power then i might get excited but then it wont be $22k anymore
Thanks! I'm actually not really driving it much right now as I probably won't get winter tires until next winter but I am very, very happy. I will still hang out here from time to time as I'm a car fan and like to know what's going on outside of the cars I own.
