If you want the vroom vroom pshhht sound, then you should have bought an SRT-4.
It's funny cause it's true!

VTA - bad. Well covered here.

The IX and X DV (BOV) does not make noise, its not mean to. If you want to hear the sound, others have covered it - intake (cone filter) and a different DV(BOV).

Word of caution - some DVs will give you nothing but headaches. Not talking A/F issues but bucking and drivability issues. I would put in a good amount of research into which brand you get. The I-IX area has a good amount on that.

I ran the Forge RS, which can have bucking issues if you are not used to going on/off throttle. If you try to slowly back out, it will shutter the car (right otter ). But full off - not an issue. I ran it because I needed it to hold the boost I was running, and it was "tunable" with the adjustable spring setting.

Turbosmart is crap. Just invest in a valve that serves it FUNCTION!

If its attention you are after, paint it this color.

One of my boys had a 2nd Gen GSX, and his car would sputter and die after a high rev when he installed a VTA BOV. He had to get a separate unit that told the ECU to compensate for the lost air before his car was drivable again.

My boy...

Unless the car has an adaptive ECU you would need a tune of course to make it run properly because the car is expecting the recirculated air to be returned.

I dislike them because most of them are designed with the sole purpose of annoying bystanders. Combine that with the fact that, even with ECU tuning, they are no more effective than recirculating units and you have a worthless, unnecessary mod.

And with that. Closed. OP - search and read about VTA with MAF systems.
