Considering a 2010 Ralliart or 2010 WRX
To the OP: You say that money is not a problem, yet de-modding your SRT-4 is too expensive. Those are contradictory statements.
From everything I hear you say, I can only encourage you to look into a commuter vehicle even more. If you are looking to get a commuter car, get a commuter car. Neither the WRX nor the RA fit that bill. Get something that is cheaper and can run on 87 octane, especially if you are not looking to mod.

see d sport mag with the silver evo on the cover they did a nice article on the ra with mods they added it they spent 6k on brakes/wheels and ic exahust and a tune it churned out like 265whp
@16 psi i beleive.
i heard the wrx 09 > than 08 if u going that route.
the magazine also did a older wrx build like 4k or so in parts and did a nice 320 whp at 16-17psi.

I don't know if this has been posted previously but I would go for the WRX over the RA not only for the price and it being manual; when the TC-SST breaks on you and the Mitsu warranty (or lack thereof) is completed, then you will be spending some serious coin.
First of all I know this is a Evo forum so you will overwhelmingly pick the Ralliart. I just wanted to get some input on why.
Currently I have a heavily modified 2005 Dodge Neon SRT-4. I want to keep some pick up and go even though these two cars won't match it. I take out Evo's and Sti's all day long....anyways...looking for a more family friendly, traffic car with some power now.
My two problems with the Ralliart are:
Cost: $27,500
HP: 237
The WRX has:
Cost: $24, 500
HP: 265
So basically it feels like I am getting a slower car for more money. Also I am not very excited about paddle shifting and I don't like automatic.
Thoughts? Thanks!

If your not excited about the paddle shifting or an automatic.
Then get the WRX.
If rumor holds true, there will be a manual 5spd? or 6spd? RA coming out?
So...
a lot of people who hated the idea of a slushbox (and the TC-SST is not) test drove an RA or MR, and they totally changed their minds. All it takes is a test drive... and he will find out for himself.
As for the warranty on the TC-SST, Mitsu has replaced defective trannies without much hassle if you A.) didn't mod your powertrain B.) didn't constantly abuse your transmission (ie. many launches). Check the EvoX TC-SST or RA drivetrain forum here, you will find out that Mitsu HAS replaced every defective SST tranny under warranty if it wasn't caused by an irresponsible owner.

No one can answer this for you, but I am pleasantly surprised that the majority seem to be saying WRX. It's just rare to get a non biased opinion. I personally was looking at both myself, and chose the RA. The WRX did have more power according to my butt dyno, but that's where my interest died. I found the performance of the RA to be adequate for my needs, at least stock, and if I feel the need for more power or better handling, it's out there to be had. There was just no "wow I love this car" feeling when driving the WRX, where as the RA hinted at it on every test drive I had. I've only had my RA for six weeks, but every time I look at it or drive it, I know I made the right choice. Good luck to you, and please let us know what you decide.
#1. If I were in your position (which I was last year), that's what I would do.

#2. I think the RA is a more comfortable car for commuting.
#3. If you are not thinking about modding the car, the RA is a better choice because:
a) There are fewer mods available, so less temptation.
b) There is less of a reason to mod in big ways (some of the best mods on the RA are wear items or things that won't affect your warranty, such as rims, tires and brakes).
#4. With 0% APR, the RA will be cheaper than the WRX, even if it is $3,000 more out the door.
#5. Only time will tell, but because of the limited number being sold, I'm convinced that the RA will hold its value better than the WRX.
Ultimately, this is going to come down to how you feel after test driving each car and the financing that you can get. I, personally, like my interior better, but you might not feel the same way. On a final note, since the warranty seems to be a big concern for you, just remember that what most of these people are saying about denied warranties is based on modded/abused vehicles. Don't mod your car or do hard brake launches, and you should have no warranty trouble if something goes wrong with your car.
Alright, I am retracting some of my previous statements. My opinion is... drumroll... get the RalliArt IF you can get 0% APR. Here are my reasons:
