Transmission dead
Is the fluid specific to the SST, or is it just regular tranny fluid that I can pick up from any auto parts store? I'm sure the dealer wants to charge an arm and a leg to change the fluid, so is it easy enough that I could change it myself?
may use the use of an alternative fluid as a reason to deny a warranty claim. I think it goes for about $100/ gal, and there is a specific process involved in changing it out. Its not just a drain and refill. If you check the EvoX forums, someone posted the scheduled maintenance instructions from the service manual, and it is detailed there. When it comes time for my SST fluid change, I will be taking mine to the dealer. It may cost more than doing it myself, but at least I'm covered if something goes wrong.
The SST requires specific SST fluid. I would recommend using Mitsubishi's DiaQueen, as
