FYI guys I've always had great luck just calling or emailing Chad@cbrdspeedfactory.com, PM's are painful to deal with sometimes!

Chad, are you saying that it's not recommended to run your new turbo using the stock injectors? I thought the stock injectors could handle most aftermarket turbo upgrades?

Your stock injectors should be fine. Worry about upgrading the fuel pump, first.

CBRD RA specific 3" Short ram Bell mouth intake
CBRD Custom Catback exhaust with 3" piping, Vband, and Quad Tips, resonator and muffler
CBRD Resonated Test pipe

Razorlab basemap, retuned by CBRD, with SST tweaks by Razorlab and Jon Drenas,.

STOCK IC pipes, Stock Inlet tube, Stock boost solenoid and pill, Stock manifold, turbo, downpipe, etc...

The highest uncorrected (non smoothed) numbers were 249whp/279 wtq at 19.5 psi...

I had to tweak the SST tables to keep the clutch packs from slipping at peak torque... but otherwise I tried to rescale the maf, to get the AFR close to what it was before... timing was not changed nor were boost tables or Mivec tables... (from before the catback and intake)..

Here are some overlays: (being added)

Today we are building our Ralliart Specific Front Mount Intercooler. The EVO X FMIC is just slightly too big, as it pushes down on the undertray bolts... which I wasnt happy with. I also feel it is slight overkill (its a BIG fmic).... so we are building another intercooler utilizing a Garrett Core that is slightly smaller (about 2" shorter run length, 1.5" shorter height, and .4" thinner)... still rated for 750 hp....

This should allow us to have a slightly better price point and still EASILY support 500whp... it will also be slightly lighter!

We are also doing Ralliart Specific Intercooler pipes today (our evo X Cold charge pipe is 2.75" which will create an issue if people want to run the bigger trans oil pans etc).... so this one will be 2.5"

I will post pics shortly and more details!

cheers

Like most of the guys on this forum, I have been waiting anxiously for more information on the CBRD turbo upgrade/mod, and am certainly very interested.

While I think the board is generally stoked by the "target" hp/tq, are you planning on posting dyno results of the modified turbo anytime soon?

Thanks and keep up the awesome work! DH

We will have independent testing data posted shortly!

as for pricing-

I prefer PM's because I can more easily track each client's individual questions and needs without having to go back to the thread each time.

At CBRD we are VERY big on customer "consultation" not just selling a product... so we like to ask as many questions as we can about our clients needs before we just give generic pricing out

cheers

It will depend on the WHP level that we achieve...

sometimes we will custom massage a turbo for someone if they want something a little different.. and we will need to know what injectors are needed for those possibly scenarios

I believe I've run 348whp on my dyno on the stock evo injectors.. I'd have to check.

they can ship in just over a week!

everything we do is built to order, we dont keep inventory on hand....

from time to time revisions get made, due to customer feedback etc, or someone wants something custom... if you have 50 on the shelf, youve then obsoleted your product immediately!

cheers

ok guys, here are some pics of our RA specific FMIC!

We found that the inlet to the FMIC has a slightly different angle (and ic pipes) than the evo X... although our evo X fmic does fit its pretty big and had a tendency to push down the undertray once the bolts were put into the bumper from underneath! Obviously we didnt want the risk of that damaging anything....

Also- our core for the evo X is good for over 800 hp... and for most RA owners we didnt see that as a necessity.. so we were able to use a slightly smaller core (still rated for 750 crank hp)... it has slightly higher fin density than our EVO X core because it is blocking less ambient airflow to the radiator.

Complete bolt in...uses factory mounts and.. not modifications required! We can supply couplers to fit both aftermarket or stock IC pipes!

Here are some pics... comparison between CBRD EVO X and the CBRD Ralliart FMIC...

Stock. RA. and evo X

and evo X to RA pics..

Keep in mind this is the first one we built, so the final production versions will be slightly neater as far as finish goes Still meets our standards even though it was the first!!

More info coming!

cheers

Looks good!
For the turbo, is there some kind of core swap we can do?
