Yes, posting the numbers once is definitely "over and over". Car and Driver, Road and Track and Inside Line are definitely my own personal "internet numbers" Clearly, saying "drive both cars and decide for yourself" is founded in nothing but hate .

Man, the wut jr section is just awesome sometimes.

Let me put this straight.
In a thread named Good Review From Top Gear, you immediately jump in and say:
WRX performs better.
What are you trying to prove? That you are neutral on all grounds? I don't think so.

Yes the RA is quicker, even stock against a stock STi (I've done both of those as well). It jumps off the line faster, then the larger power of the STi finally kicks in in 3rd and the car starts to gain/pass.
But hey, you've driven all of them, why should it even be a question.
Again, source? You are directly contradicting 3 professional reviews that show the WRX is faster off the line, and therefore, quicker.

Actually no, I didn't do that. My first post.

As has been said again and again, the WRX performs better out of the box. However, deciding between the two is purely subjective. That is as neutral as you can get. I never said "the WRX is the better car" or "the WRX is the one to get" I said the WRX is the better performing car out of the box. That isn't opinion, that is the logical conclusion given that the WRX performs better than the Ralliart in stock trim.

Everyone says the same thing everytime he shows up (about every 3 months). What we all need to realize is that Amby is a Grad Law student, his whole life revolves around arguing and source quoting. To him, none of this means anything, other than the pure joy of ruffling feathers and being "the winner".
Think of the guy opposite Tom Cruise in 'A Few Good Men'...and then place him in a pink Miata.

Wow, another personal attack, shocking and, like many other posts, it is filled with absolutes. In this thread alone, you have people agreeing with me so clearly the everyone you refer to is not everyone.

What I "like" is when forums aren't populated by BS dogma. It is the same on Subaru forums. Misinformation has no place on a car forum. Clearly you would rather the Ralliart forum be nothing more than a place for people to have their egos stroked and to be spoon-fed dogma about how amazing their cars are and how terrible the alternative is. I find it deeply amusing that you're getting pissy at a demand for sources and real facts on a forum that once prided itself on its technical accuracy.

Well, I'm glad I've now been set straight on the correct interpretation of a four-year-old, two-paragraph pre-release review of a car.

I'm glad to have read all the valiant attempts to correct mis-information and qualify absolutes.

I'm really glad that, after six pages, we've undoubtedly covered every possible angle on this subject... and can therefore move on.

Please.

Cheers,

Rich

It won't be the end, it never is. I thought most of this **** was hashed out the last time but nope, people still want to say to the WRX is ****e to rationalize their choice. Exact same **** as on NASIOC when people feel the need to bash the Evo to rationalize buying an STI.

And to respond to your edit Amby, I would personally rather the RA forum be nothing more than a place where I can help people get the most out of the vehicle they own. Period.

I can't do that effectively with a face full of interwebz bs.

Rich
