Hey so I'm curious on if you figured this out yet?
Just a few questions
1) is your car used?
2) has there been any other modifications done to your car?
3) current miles on the car?
4) do you have the updated rule relay?
5) what octain fuel do you use?
6) have you done all the required maintenance on your car?

We kind of have. The solution to the poor starting was flooding due to a short start the day before. To prevent flooding the cylinders I guess ensure the engine has warmed up just a little before shutting if off if your only turning the car on to move it for a second or so.
If the cylinders are flooded, as suggested before, depress the accelerator to the floor then give it a crank. This should solve the issue by opening the throttle-body and limiting the fuel to the injectors.
1) I purchased the car with 25,000km (~15,500 miles) on the clock
2) Only engine modification is a K&N filter (FOR THE MOMENT)
3) Currently the car has 35,000km (~22,000 miles) on the clock
4) As far as I know, my model MY2012 (2011 build) should have had the updated fuel relay from factory
5) ONLY SHELL 98 Octane fuel has been used
6) Maintenance is all up-to date, with 5000km oil changes done since I have had the car.
Hopefully this answers your questions. I have not had an issue starting the car since, but will follow the instructions above if I do.

Change your Relays! Mine did this all the time till i changed them. I actually just had this issue + barely any power and a lot of sputtering this weekend while on a road trip. Came down to bad gas. Ran the tank nearly dry then filled up somewhere else from where i usually fill up and it's back to normal! Goodluck!

Ahh Mia, that road trip musta been painful knowing that your car may not have been able to start in uncharted territory =S
I have ordered the SSP relay pack and will change all my relays to the new Black/Grey ones =D
It sucks though as the shipping costed me more than the actual relays themselves =(
On a thread note, I received the work order from Mitsu. I will post the pik of it when I get back home from work. May be an interesting read to some.
