This is by far the best bang for you buck for upgrading a Ralliart and maintaining its reliability. The only thing needed after or before this swap are better brake pads.

I have just seen that the ralliart and evo use the same downpipe.
http://www.clubralliart.com/showthread.php?t=3475
So can i use the ralliart downpipe instead of buying an evo downpipe to do the swap?

Yes indeed... as long as your Evo X turbocharger has its original turbine outlet housing (historically known as the "rear o2 housing").

Also, on your current RA turbo and exhaust, there is a conical metal seal in the joint between the t/c and the downpipe. That can stay put, and works perfectly well as-is mated up with the Evo X rear o2 housing.

Hi everyone,

I have found someone selling a complete Evo X kit which was pulled out of a reasonably low km motor. So includes all oil/water lines, actuator, manifold etc.

At this stage I want to keep things minimal and simple as possible. So what are the minimum supporting items I will need to get also.

I currently have in my garage evo x fmic, cosworth panel filter and modified stock muffler (hi flow). Was going to get in addition to this kit a 3 port, metal bov, and evo x spark plugs.

Intake options I am going to try keep it all stock under the hood so will probably order the rre intake adaptor.

Besides a tune, is there anything else which is a must have instead of a nice to have.

Review the list in this thread again and make sure you have a wideband a/f meter and something to tune your car with - Tactrix or Cobb. Hopefully you have the Evo X intercooler piping and know how you are going to connect your stock airbox or an Evo X airbox.

Yeah I have a tuner in mind already. He also knows how to keep the stock intake where it is. So it's mainly the parts I need

Tune will be open source not a fan of Cobb.

Glad with that comment about being a good mod to keep Ralliart reliable but quick

Hey everyone,

Have finally began the parts collecting journey for the x swap.

I have purchased this new turbo kit which came off a crate motor. Have been told it comes with everything needed however have been advised to buy a new head to manifold gasket.

Looking at the pics would that sound about right?

Yes, the part # should be 1555A417. Confirm before ordering.

I wish my turbo looked that clean!

Thanks for the info... I've since ordered the gasket Just waiting on the RRE intake adaptor to arrive and to see what I'm going to do with the oil lines.

Required (a complete turbo assembly off an X should include all of this):

1515A183 (1515A198) Turbocharger 2,022.79
1555A476 Exhaust manifold 514.82
MN119784 Exhaust stud x2 (these will not come out of your Ralliart turbo without breaking) 9.73 x2
1515A150 Turbo Outlet pipe 62.20
1515A184 Turbo to manifold gasket 44.10
1555A289 Turbo to 02 housing gasket 40.37
1555A423 O2 housing 171.77
1225a155 Oil feed line 27.22
1225A181 Oil return line 75.97
1310A469 Coolant return pipe 12.10
1310A577 Coolant feed pipe 25.20
MF650114 coolant banjo bolt x2 7.37 x2
MF660065 coolant banjo bolt gasket x4 0.95 x4
1542A042 Inlet elbow 61.08
1515A053 Inlet elbow gasket 10.10
1570B095 Downpipe 304.52 (it would be cheaper just to get an AMS widemouth downpipe instead of stock Evo downpipe and O2 housing)
3078.50 + 27.22 +304.52 total list.
1055.71 + 27.22 + 304.52 without new OEM turbo

Recommended but not required to work:
1555A320 O2 housing bracket 19.08
MD194403 Oil return line gasket 1.53
1515A166 Compressor housing bracket 19.08
MF140264 Compressor housing bracket bolt 2.23
MF140260 Compressor housing bracket bolt 1.30
MR281085 Turbo outlet pipe gasket (same as Ralliart but new ones are recommended) 4.65

47.87 total list.
I was wondering I found a inlet elbow but the ad states it is specifically for a GSR would this fit on my RA?

I am not exactly sure, but I thought they were the same. Look up the part numbers for a Evo X GSR inlet elbow and a Evo X MR inlet elbow and see if the numbers are the same.

Swap

Hi Guys. I know this thread is fairly old but I am about to do the conversion since my RA exhaust manifold broke. Can anyone point me to a place where I can purchase all these parts?

Thanks in advance guys.
