SST fluid change

Just had that done... with a regular oil change, it came to $569cdn after tax

Sum of it...the DiaQueen transmission fluid cost $50/L, and the thing takes 6L.

$300/ trans oil
$50/synth motor oil
$150/labour
+ 13% TAX.

That said...I love this car.

It's required by the maintenance schedule, I think?

not until 60,000 miles. that's a butt load of cash just for a tranny oil change... wow. with $150 labor, i would've done it myself.

I did it at 40,000km. I've seen on my bike what wet clutches can do to oil on break-in, and trust me...there would be LOTS of junk in there!

No harm to do the change sooner.

I did mine at 15K, and the fluid looked quite ugly even at that mileage.

Mitsubishi Newmarket. They are a decent group of guys there, have never charged me more than necessary (which is enough already....)

LVSBB6...I'm most experienced with wet clutches on sportbikes, and yes, the first change is usually uglier than ugly. If they are any indication (as these TC transmisisons are supposed to be "lifetime" durable), then the following changes will be much much cleaner.

Yeah and that's why I did my first change way ahead of scheduled. My next interval will be 40K after and will use aftermarket such as SSP or Willall.
