I just had the dealership replace my pump (covered under warranty as I have a 2013 with ~75k miles meeting the extended 10 yr/100,000k) at $0. I was a little surprised but thrilled. They gave me no pushback or headaches.

I was able to confirm with them that I had another 2 years of warranty coverage (not sure if that’s because it’s 2013 and I have until 2023 or if the new pump is covered for 2 years) but also confirmed that a relocation kit does void the warranty. I doubt the pump will go bad after two years and think a relocation is more beneficial especially after getting a brand new pump.

if you’re past warranty, my only advice is a rebuild or trying to find one for cheap and relocating it. Can’t void a warranty if there’s no warranty to void.
