Just so I understand correctly. We need a 6" coupler that's has a 2.5" diameter correct? Then the RA lower I/C pipe will work with the Evo intercoolers?

Correct. EvoX FMIC outlet is 2.5" diameter, Ralliart LICP inlet is 2.5" diameter.

Ralliart FMIC outlet is like 2.25" diameter, if you look at the stock coupler it has a slightly reduced section on the FMIC side, this is why you need a new coupler for the Evo-based FMIC's

You may need to trim at 6", but its always better to buy a longer piece and cut it shorter. Plus I personally prefer to have a little extra coupler behind the clamp area, just for peace-of-mind that it won't blow off the firsst time I wot, more a mental thing than anything probably.

Done and done. My 6inch bov connector kept coming off in any boost, finally got it to stay put.

I may order the ribbed pipe and get it done right, I used electical tape on a 6in nipple piece from HomeDepot, 1inch Inside diameter.... if it comes off again I will order that piece.

Overall A fun experience, just wish any luck to people with huge hands....

I have tiny hands so I was good to go for the most part. Since I've been worried about blowing the damn connector I never went full throttle, I'll update soon. Otherwise quicker throttle response for sure, fun project, thanks for the write up!

No problem, glad it was helpful. And yes, getting the correct type of tubing is very worthwhile.

Well I must say it drives differently.. better or equal I am still not sure. Its still gets up to speed fast, its more solid, less jerking for sure, can't put my finger on it. after about 30% throttle and after 4kRPM I don't feel a significant acceleration with more throttle. I'll log it later, maybe tomorrow.

Where is the best place to get strong couplers? I've been told not to trust ones from home depot as they will not handle the pressure. Any exp with this?

Go to a performance shop. Like Performance improvement or next mod etc.

Don't get home depot stuff.

Everything should have come from UR. Id suggest getting some t-bolts instead of those crappy worm clamps.

Matizzay Xtreme psi sells all the couplers ull need.
