Got AEM then blew motor while tuning
Don't worry your results speak for themselves unlike others that rely on their keyboard to do their talking and have no experience as to what it takes to be at your level.
Success to some is based on real world results. For others it's based on e-talk. Then there are a few individulas that bash the results of most to make themselves look successful.
No matter which ECU you choose it's the person doing the tuning that is going to get the results. Every tuner will always get the best results from the brand of ecu they are comfortable using. Some tuners have more experience from using different brands and have discovered the limitations of each.
The most important fact is to always choose your tuner before ECU. Once you've determined the level of performance you're seeking you find a tuner that's going to provide those results for you. The last time I check it's the tuner that makes the ECU successful.
didn’t read every word in this thread but don’t blame the ems. it’s a simple thing. The air fuel was lean or to much timing. They can inspect the parts to see if it burnt down from a lean condition or detonated from to much timing. Also could be good old parts failure.
Side note did they sink the base timing?

ive sold the AEM and just decided to run with the stock ecu. I know im going to get bashed on for this but ive decided to stop where im at for now. Its a decision i had to make because of the changes in my personal life and its going to be that way for awhile (divorce, ahem!). So now im in need of someone to tune my stock ecu and a place thats close to me (Engine Logics) rejected my business cause i took my car to another shop ( SGP) and told me that i insulted him for doing that. I only took my car to Engine Logics of Houston to them one time for a quick reflash and tune and now since i was not loyal he wont reflash and tune my car again. Ok, so...now im stuck with this untuned car and running low boost cause i dont want anything to happen to the car. Can anyone point me in the right direction for someone that can tune my car that i dont have to drive 15 hours to? Please, someone help me out!
i understand loyalty, but its not like i was a repeat customer. I only went to this shop one time, ONE time and thats for a tune. The only reason i went to that shop is because they are the only ones that tunes ecu. Everyone else tunes stand alones.
