Question about turbo death.

How would you describe turbo death?

I recently had my black evo in and upgraded a few things and now my turbo "whines" under WOT in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. It doesn't happen all the time though with the most frequent being in 1st. Also when the turbo is winding down it makes a distinct "whine" until the car comes to a complete stop.

Also can parts to one of your turbo packages be purchased to complete the kit? i have a EBC, HKS RS intake,A<S full turboback, AMS fuel rail, AMS 680cc injectors, SAFCII, AMS lower pipe and intercooler kit. I think i would need the header and turbo to complete the kit.

well the first way to check the condition of your turbo is by checking for shaft play. Take the intake off the inlet of the turbo and grab the end of the compressor wheel. See if there is any up and down or in and out shaft play. A very very small amount is ok but anything more then a couple of millimiters is excessive. Especially on a stock turbo

now the question regarding our turbo kit. The kit includes everything you need to run a T3T4 Turbo. without everything in the kit you will not be able to get the car going.

i'm prepairing myself for the worst with this because it would only go along with everything else that has happened with this car. If my stock turbo is shot and I don't have the finances to get an upgraded turbo do you have any stock turbos laying around the shop that I could pick up and swap in? for a price of course
