You should be ok coz I'm running Perrin Stage 1 with Blitz drop-in filter without any problem!

Cobb AP...cures bad idle?

Just wondering if the Cobb AP flashes cure the bad idle these cars have from the factory.

I've sent a PM to the guys at Cobb asking the same question. If/when I hear from them, I'll post it here.

If anyone who has an AP can jump in, that would be great.

tried it out. no thank you. i had significantly more knock retard values all over the place especially under hard acceleration. i didn't notice much of a power increase either. so i am going to play it safe with the paper filter.

Would you mind posting back to back logs to show the increased knock with running a drop in panel filter with the Perrin stage 1 map.

i didn't take logs just live monitor. and i had 2s and 3s whenever i accelerated hard whether a pull in a lower gear or accelerating in top gear on the highway. i know that isn't terribly significant but it wasn't doing it before and i dont see any need to wrestle with that considering the filter does nothing more than make more noise.....in my opinion.

with the stock tune the filter is great and really helps. i flashed back to stock recently. that's why that filter when back in. i got to say the X is really disappointing in stock form as far as power goes. never realized it until i flashed back.

So did you do the logs back to back with the same tank of full and climate conditions?

The filter leans the car out almost half a point. I would have it tuned. ATR software works ok.

I'm looking at the Cobb AP unit and the Vishnu re-flash. What are some of the reasons I would go with the Cobb AP over the Vishnu re-flash? I'm not concerned about down-time so much, but what are the other reasons for going with Cobb? Performance-wise, am I going to see big differences?

I'd like to see it. Is there a way you could post the log?
