I live in Lubbock! I am in the same situation, here there is 91oct but when I travel to Houston for the summer, there is 93oct there. But pre-loaded onto the AP there are maps for each stage on both octanes so its an ez switch from one to the other.

About the boost I have no idea, I've only been playing with mine for 1 day hahah. I will say when I tried to monitor my boost pressure, it read 0.0 psi which I know is deff wrong. All the other monitoring things worked fine, just the boost one wasn't working. Maybe some programing issue??

Mendo, the Exxon station at 67th and Frankford has 93 octane. You might also check out Barry's Super Fuels (are they still around) for some 100 octane.

To Excalibur's point, though, if your mods necessitated moving past one of the staged tunes, then yes, you would need to have custom tunes for each grade. If you were going to be within the parameters of a staged tune, then I'd recommend getting the custom tune with 93 octane, and use the out-of-the-box 91 octane tune appropriate to your mods when you are in Abiline.

And yes, the AP can control boost for you- no need to go with a boost controller (just remove the pill for Stage II+).

Thanks!

Hi Gullie,

The Evo X does not have a sensor accurate to the level needed for checking the AFR during a WOT pull. As long as your modifications fit within what the map notes specify, your fueling should be spot on.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks,

I have the Ultimate Racing Turbo Back Exhaust w/ the metal high flow cat and the downpipe w/ the O2 housing. That is ok right?

I want to make sure that the O2 housing / Cat that Ultimate Racing is selling is with in the parameters of your Stage 2 93 Octane map.

Here is a link to the O2 Housing:

Here is a link to the Cat:

And here is the Cat Back Exhaust:

I've got the ceramic HFC, but otherwise the same exhaust as you. I'm on a custom stage 2 map.

You'll be fine with that exhaust.

I just got my Cobb AP and love it! I have a K&N drop-in filter, Cobb downpipe and High Flow Cat, I'm running the stage2 +sf for 93 octane, since I'm down in south fla. I got all my stuff thru RaminiSports, when Carlos dyno the car it was making 320awhp and 297torque . I thought that was pretty impressive!
Oh! I also got the u0184 code (when read it says airbag), everyone here so far says it has to do with communication with the OEM radio? I have a pioneer dvd and alpine amp, but oem sub in the car, so could be from that, anyway super happy. I was going to go with the Vishnu reflash, but couldn't deal with the down time.

Cobb, RaminiSports & Carlos Ramirez

Cobb indicated they disable/suspend communication on the CAN-bus to other components during the flash, resulting in this type of code. They have a fix, although I'm not sure if it will fix all CAN codes across the board or if it's specific to certain codes. This code was not listed, so hopefully they will get around to this one too, if the fix is code specific.
